Dear Linda, Thank you for sticking your neck out for me. I'm sorry it got chopped off. Dear Sore Loser, Thank you for your incisive post. You nailed it. Dear George, Your "Poetry" may leave a lot to be desired....but you seem to be a kind person and that's what counts. If I am ever in Irel...

For crying out loud. Would everyone please go back and read my original post on this thread. I said you all were "interesting!" You just can't write poetry. (With the exception of Andrew McG.) I also said I only go to the poetry section "occasionally." I couldn't stomach a steady...

Dear Lizzytysh, I don't understand your anger towards me. I didn't say these were terrible people. I said their writing was terrible. You on the other hand, have informed everyone that I am arrogant, pompous, presumptuous, and judgmental. And I not trying to keep anyone from posting their work. And ...

Sorry, Lizzytysh, I'm not a poet, a publisher, a professor or a professional critic. I'm only a Reader. And arrogance has nothing to do with being able to judge good poetry from bad poetry. Why shouldn't there be a standard for poetry? There is for everything else in life. Do you want a good doctor ...

Hey Peter D. I think you misunderstood Linda and me. (Perhaps deliberately.) We are not scared or bothered by "certain" words. It's just that the so-called "poetry" is sooooooooooooo bad. Reading the Poetry Forum is like drowning in molasses. Too much "feeling" and very...

I post for many reasons but mainly to get info. I enjoy this forum except for the poetry section. Occasionally, I'll go to that section but I'm usually disappointed that LC fans who seem to be such interesting people are such terrible writers. :(

I dunno about all that sitting around in "silence". I think I would like LC to talk to me.

I have never had the opportunity to hear LC in concert and it's something I really regret. However, I have to agree with Fiji. I don't think it would be a good idea. I never was a fan of Rod Stewart's but I recently watched a little of his recent concert on A&E. It was embarassing and almost pai...

Thanks, Peter for the info. I really liked "I can't live without love" so I decided to sample a couple of the other songs by Laid Back. But I have to say listening to "Sunshine Reggae" made me a little queasy...they sounded like a Danish Brady Bunch. And I didn't care for "T...

Who is this guy?

I just downloaded a song from WinMx entitled "I can't live without love" purporting to be sung by Leonard Cohen. It's obvious it's not Leonard. However, the tune is catchy and the singer sounds similar to Leonard. Does anyone know the name of this guy? I would be interested in more music b...

I can hardly believe it. Surely someone who participated at the events in Montreal and Hydra wouldn't be selling their rings given to them by Leonard. Somebody must really need the money!!! I think I would come up with something else to sell. Like my right arm.

love,

Miranda
