I Tried To Leave You
I tried to leave you
But there is no "try"
I either do or I do not do
In that case, goodbye.

Re: Worst ever LC tracks
I have to exclude the entirety of "Death of a Ladies Man" from my list, since I find it to be unlistenable, and so cannot be included since I cannot fairly evaluate it. (1) "Teachers": This song has an over-the-top melodrama that I related to when I was a young man. Now I I think...

That advert must be a fake!
Everybody knows (pun intended) that the real Cohen-Skating poster has the unified heart, NOT the boring valentine heart!

Re: Leonard Cohen is Living Genius No. 58
Although I cannot stomach Philip Glass (despite his recent association with our Leonard), I have to admire a list that ranks Matt Groening ahead of Stephen Hawking. Well done, leave it to Brits!

Re: Is this the young cohen
I can definately see the resemblance to the pictures of a young Leonard. While it's closer to Leonard than the photo was in the recent poetry contest, I hesitate to suggest it be the basis for a second event based on the prior outcomes.

Re: 2008 Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame
Hi - I would suggest that the same elitism that works against Chicago may work in Leonard Cohen's favour in the voting. Music industry insiders are much more aware of his work than the general public. The recent resurgent interest in all things Cohen makes the timing of his nomination favourable as ...

Thank you all for your feedback. I'm always interested in ways I can improve my writing. Manna - You are correct as to the implication of the sunlight. I've been so tired lately. The "one last chance" was intended for two points: (1) It is after work so it is late in the day as the sun is ...
