Re: The Remarkable Life of Leonard Cohen: new biography (2010)
I guess this'll be my last word on the subject here or I'm in danger of repeating myself. I also have to move on and am already involved in new projects and its draining to give energy and time to old work. And my girlfiend forbids it, but I'm sneaking this in while she's in the bath... But to addre...

Re: The Remarkable Life of Leonard Cohen: new biography (2010)
Thanks again for your civilized opinions. The hardcover is going into a second edition and as such is being reproofed. This is my fifth book and my third biography and I've never known a book to go out with such errors before. One can usually trust the proof readers to do their (and its a full time)...

Re: The Remarkable Life of Leonard Cohen: new biography (2010)
Thanks for the ...input...but disrespectful? I don't think so. If people are noticing and being bothered by such errors to the point where it's spoiling the overall experience of the book then it's surely constructive to use the resultant energy in a positive way rather than just list complaints on ...

Re: The Remarkable Life of Leonard Cohen: new biography (2010)
Perhaps - if you felt like it - you could make a note of typo's and proof errors and mail them to me for the sake of future editions. (I'd rather this thread didn't degenerate into a list of corrections). Constructive criticisim. The book was edited and proofed to what I assume is Omnibus' usual pro...

Re: The Remarkable Life of Leonard Cohen: new biography (2010)
We are in the last throes of picture research for this now.
I am trying to locate as many unique and unfamiliar images as possible - ideally of LC at work.
But if any of you have unique pics you took yourself with LC or just of him, please get in touch.

Dorothy Chandler Pavilion/Music centre late 60's/early 70's
Whilst researching my book I interviewed a chap who swears to have seen LC at this venue in the early 70's, late 60's. But I can find no mention of it anywhere. Anyone here shed some light on this? The chap is adamant this was the venue.

Re: "The Remarkable Life of Leonard Cohen" (new book)
I am the author, and I am a 'fan' of both LC the man and his work. I wouldn't be able to write a book on a subject I had no interest in and I couldn't do an Albert Goldman and write about someone I was intruiged by but loathed, either. Unfortunately (for a biographer at least, not for the man himsel...

The sci fi concrete author is ANOTHER writer. Amazon links stuff to similiar or identical names, despite efforts from the authors.

Re: Leonard collapsed in Valencia - but is doing well again
I was a few feet away, front row. It was deeply deeply upsetting to witness it. It felt plain wrong. I did think LC looked a bit tired but when he faltered...its hard to describe how shocking and wrong it felt.

Re: Your contributions to new biography
This is neither an authorised biography (Unlikely in any event as LC is currently considering his autobiography, although LC is aware of my project) and I won't dignify the other comment with a serious response. As to the credibility of interviewing the people who buy the records and books and conce...
