Re: Edinburgh July 16th
Thought the concert was immense, it's amazing how proper artists can make a song sound better live, Hallelujah for example is 10 times better live than on the album, as were other songs to be fair but that one stuck out for me. I quite liked the venue to be honest, maybe thats because I had decent s...

Re: Edinburgh July 16th

Otherwise I'm not too sure cause I dont drive! If you stick round that area you should be safe en...

Re: Very Best Of CD
We already have the essential LC and there is at least one greatest hits/best of album (official anyway), is there any point in a Very best of..? Is anyone likely to buy it considering the only different tracks are likely to be a couple of inclusions from Dear Heather?

Re: Support
No, Duets with LC are a no-no, and certainly not Bono "Africa, you owe me big time", he really thinks that David played HIM a secret chord

If you had the choice, bearing in mind that Damien Rice is supporting in Dublin, whom locally, would you want to support Leonard at "your" gig?

Re: Opening bands/artists
Damien Rice supporting Leonard Cohen, what a night!! I'm so jealous, I saw Damien late last year in Scotland and he was fantastic, did a good cover of Buckley's cover of THAT song at the induction, I hope the Edinburgh gig gets a good support act, but who? Now that belongs on another thread............

Re: Edinburgh Castle, July 16
Just some Edinburgh info for travellers coming and disabled access: The caastle is situated at the top of the Royal Mile, which although beautiful, is cobble stones so wheel chairs will find it difficult, you therefore have two other choices; get a taxi from whereever you are to the top, which WILL ...

Anyhow enough of my gloating, just to let you know that they only had a handful of front section tickets but the have a good few (couple of hundred anyway, by the look of the pile they had) for the seats in the stands to either side of t...

Re: Edinburgh Castle, July 16
Ripping Records will be open from about 9.15, they say they normally open about 9.30 so it may be worth you while starting an hour later at work, don't go down at 9 cause they won't be open according to the boy who answered the phone!

Re: edinburgh castle
Standing at gigs is great if you wanna jump around, but for some artists I think its better to sit down, seen Damian Rice and was sitting down 3 rows from the front and it was brill, but standing still for 3 hours would've made me restless. However, the Barra's is the best place in the world for a g...

Re: edinburgh castle
Thank god its not glasgow, sick of going through there for gigs and getting my wallet stolen (however Leonard at the Barra's would've been nice!)

Re: edinburgh castle
I can't believe it 5 minutes from my house!! When do tickets go on sale for there? I'd imagine it will be an outdoor gig, most gigs at the castle take place in the courtyard, if so there should be loads of tickets on sale as it can sit thousands, well thats if they build up the stands like they do f...
