Re: Manchester shows

Well I am completley devastated NOT to be able to get hold of a ticket for Manchester!!!! Prices hiked up way beyond my means When I was younger I took my wedding ring off my finger and flogged it to get a ticket to see Brian Patten! Should have left the thing on my finger for an even bigger event!...

Re: Top 3 Songs To Make your Concert???

It's one of those questions that may get a different answer every time someone asked me, but just at the moment I'd say: - Famous Blue Raincoat (which would be on any list, whenever I was asked!) - The Partisan - So Long Marianne As you can see, I prefer his older stuff but if I had to choose one fr...

Re: Leonard Cohen: TOUR 2008

I feel terrible. I used to buy the Guardian every day. I did it for 10 years.

Then I got a job and started reading the Telegraph.

Will the Guardian still remember me? I'm starting to panic.

Re: Advance ticket booking for Files/Forum members

How is this possible that an official seller of tickets allows this kind of thing? Are there no 'official' controls over these shitty ticket companies, who are making fortunes over the backs of the fans? Perhaps, they hired a slew of temporary employees and had them come join the Leonard Cohen Foru...

Re: Manchester shows

Not sure how you can blame Ticketmaster. You were on the PC 2 hours before, when they were not on sale and 2 hours after, when they had sold out. If you had got your ass in gear and tried at 1000 for 20 minutes you would have got tickets. I'm not sure that's entirely called for, Rodin. John...

Re: Leonard Cohen: TOUR 2008

I'm hoping to catch all 4 of the Mcr shows anyway, but makes me nervous because it's such a small, but fantastic, theatre, and my place of work is directly over the road from the Opera House...would hate to be sat there in June watching everyone filing in, while I sit at my desk thinking of things ...

Re: Ticket Allocation

Thank you Lizzie and Paula. I understand where you're coming from, and I hope I didn't sound like I was bleating. I guess there is a mild sense of fear of missing out on the tickets, but I think another reason for the recent extra traffic on the forum is simply that LC is back in the news again afte...

Re: Ticket Allocation

Hi Verite you do sound like a genuine fan the problem is we have been literally swamped by psuedo fans after tickets and genuine fans it is very hard to tell the difference apart from the fact that people like you give a little background and have not just registered never posted or posted once and...
