Re: Manchester, UK (June 17-20)
Absolutely fantastic night last night! It was all that I have dreamed of for 20-odd years. I couldn't help myself today... went and waited at stage door and briefly met Leonard. He was extremely gracious and patient with the few of us who were there. He signed my copy of Stranger Music and posed for...

Re: begging bowl...
Hi Dave,
I really appreciate your response - I was beginning to wonder if I'd strayed over the line of acceptability. I look forward to hearing from you again...
cheers,
Lee

begging bowl...
Hi, I hope that my post doesn't break any forum rules. I've been a fan of Leonard Cohen since I was 15 years old - there hasn't been a day go by in the last 26 years that I haven't listened to, hummed or sung a LC song to myself. I'm completely over the moon to have secured tickets to see LC in Manc...

Re: Guardian/Manchester Thursday gig...
I queued outside the Palace Theatre this morning but didn't manage to get tickets. Those that did seemed to get good seats in the stalls and the Circle. Fortunately, my girlfriend got through on the phone line - five minutes before 10am - and got tickets way up in the Gallery. Not the best seats in ...

Re: Manchester shows
yes, that was me! I just sent you a message cos I worked out who you are too. I wanted to shake your hand when you emerged with your ticket - but you had descended into a bit of a daze - and I was still frantic to get my hands on my own tickets. Anyway - CONGRATULATIONS! Same to you! Sorry for not ...

Re: Manchester shows
The Touts 'stooges' were outside the Palace Theatre from about 8am queuing with genuine fans to get their hands on tickets. From what I could gather the Touts pay 'street people' to arrive and camp outside early. The Touts then show up 5 mins before doors open and muscle into the queue on the preten...

Re: Manchester shows
ptn - I want to thank you. I've been lurking the last few days and I followed your advice to the letter. I now have those precious tickets for the Manchester shows. I really appreciate the time you have taken to offer your wisdom and experience. Cheers

Re: Manchester shows
I am absolutely elated - I queued outside the Palace Theatre from 7.45 and braved the Touts....but I got my tickets. The anxiety has been growing to unbearable levels all week and by 9.59am I could hardly contain it. It's been worth it though - I can now sit and stare at my tickets and wait for June...

Re: Manchester
I am so excited at this news. I've been a fan since I was sixteen. I called the Opera House this morning - they knew what I was calling about even before I spoke! However, the Opera House management weren't even aware that the gigs were confirmed and they didn't know when tickets will go on general ...
