Heh, I think that song is called "The Greatest Country and Western Song Ever Wrote" or something to that effect! It's a great song, I agree. :) I don't know why DAC is so angry. Perhaps it's a reaction to the state of country music today or maybe he is just playing too many gigs to pay off...

Aw! That's so great to hear that you like David Allan Coe! It's another artist that my better half introduced me to...and yes, he can be a laugh. Especially his, ahem, dirtier songs. Do you have any favourite songs of his? His songwriting (esp, the dirty ones, haha) are pretty much the main inspirat...

Yes! I haven't been around lately! There seems to be so much to catch up on! I'm glad you like the new avatar ... since it's actually a wee pic of me, hahaha. You should really check out Bob Brozman. He's really a lot of fun to listen to. I mean, I wouldn't say he is very deep as far as lyrics go......

I have a soft spot for Human Drama - I love that guy's voice!

Lately, on our playlist at home it's been mostly:

-Bob Brozman
-The Brains (A local band)
-The Alley Dukes, for personal reasons!:)

Yes, that putting make up on in public is a very bad habit, isn't it? Have you seen them do it in bars or restaurants? Not good etiquette. Not at all. Err, I'm one of the guilty ones then! Quite honestly, it bothers me to no end to go out in public without makeup on. I don't go to the extreme where...

You can let me know if anything happens. I am, still, a bit of a newcomer to Montreal so I don't really know when these meetups happen and what have you.

No, unfortunately. My uncle remained in a coma for a day or so and then passed away. I'm not too sure if it was because he didn't check it out promptly or if it was just so massive. It was quite hard on our family, to say the least.

The same thing happened to my uncle about five years ago. :(

"All of the Canada Reads finalists experienced a jump in orders from bookstores, although the surge in demand for the lesser-known titles, such as Rockbound, No Crystal Stair and Volkswagen Blues, all around the 7,000-mark for orders, was more profound than for those books that were previously ...

Linda SK, You bet. Where's the link? Always good to hear what people are into! Kids stole rap and paperwork? . Or you just had paper work to do? I think that would be it. Haha, you are right! The kids usually stole rap. The paperwork...I had to do tons of it. Oh, and a lot of drunks loved stealing ...

Oh gosh...when I moved to Montreal, I left all the jewel cases and CD booklets behind (just put the cds in a big binder type holder)...so I cannot tell you off hand every song off there. I will get around to it...when I have time to play the cd. I'm pretty sure most of the songs on that link you pos...

Bride of Frankenstein avatar? It's clear I like old horror movies...but in all honesty, I f...

I believe Linda SK not only managed a record store but has a relationship with a musician who has her listening to many old blues recordings. I wouldn't ordinarily offer up private info on a fellow board member, but she wrote it (somewhere in this forum) and it is therefore now a matter of public r...
