Thanks, Margaret and Damellon and Stan, Guess I'm just doing what I can to redress the balance of a very odd outcome on the "ballot" for tickets. As it happened, a thousand years ago I set out as a dirtpoor student from Stan's hometown to Manchester to see LC on The Future tour (81?), legged it from The Apollo stage door to my borrowed parent's car and Hamiltoned it after his coach to his hotel, dashed into the lobby with seconds to spare, composed myself for an "oh what a coincidence, fabulous show" encounter. Spent a treasured few minutes talking before some "flunky" or other was told to give me a back stage pass which when mixed with a spot of hitch-hiking to Edinburgh and a shared hirecar journey to Preston enabled a few more hours of magic to happen. I believe the tour surfaced as "Field Commander Cohen" but sadly the CD lost some of the humour that runs through the shows (like describing the sparkler lit in the front row of the balcony at the Edinburgh show as "shedding it's golden tears into the darkness"). I feel somewhat mean at only being able to pass on one ticket, but will keep my ear firmly glued to the ground and if I come across any others then I will do my very best to help out (although there is a guy in Iceland on top of the list at present).
