Hi Scoob
Thanks for your message saying ticketmaster were releasing more O2 tickets - got to them just in time, would never have got to see him otherwise. Missed him when I last had a chance in 88. Was gutted then, thrilled now. Really good of you. Joined the forum to track down stuff on Cohen's poetic influences, really glad to be here today! Cheers, ham

Some of us, who had a terrible time the day the first O2 tickets were released (12 days ago), want to strangle you. You now have better seats than we do because they weren't selling them then. How unfair is that?!

Like most I put in for tickets as soon as they were released and got the so called best available after three minutes of being on sale that is right at the back block 104 level 1 cost 120 pounds for two tickets plus fee. I have found the whole experience of getting a decent ticket a lottery , at the best, the system is grossly unfair and a disgrace, the distribution of tickets, that rewards [and good luck to you] the late comer, a chance of better seats, but penalize those of us who on the day went through a lot of frustration to try and get a good ticket and were denied through no fault of our own only that we wanted a decent chance of a good ticket. I guess the saying is true you can't win 'em all, but it would be good to draw level sometimes. :x

Exactly! I chose not to elaborate above because I wasn't sure I could keep my anger and frustration in check (I'm French, LOL!). You have expressed what I feel very well.

Bela I think all us early tickets buyers are part of some scam by ticketmaster who obviously know diehards will get whatever tickets are available and they therefore put out the hard to sell tickets first and then dribble out the better ones later.

It is too late for me to learn by my mistake as Leonard is the only one I am prepared to spend my hard earned cash on and I now have a ticket but you live and learn.

That is why they have money and we don't we have principles and principles and making money do not often go hand in hand.

I hope you got a decent ticket in the end.

I couldn't agree more. I think you definitely put your finger on it. We're mugs, but what else could we do?

I did manage to get an OK-ish ticket (the second time around - when they released BK 106; luckily I was keeping an eye on the website; I have a pair in 402 that I need to get rid of at some point, when Ticketmaster manages to send them to me), but it does rankle.

I still feel that the ticket saga is going to run I will not give up on trying to get a better ticket for the sold out concert. If not I will still enjoy the fact of going, even if I have to use a telescope to see the stage. How I wish I could throw hand fall of ants at all those who made money out of the sell out and stopped the real fans from a fair chance of a good ticket. :x

For wealthy or dedicated LC fans, Hospitality Package tickets for the O2 are available again on Ticketmaster today (3rd April).

Ticketmaster also shows other LC tickets available for the O2. But these are only premium rate tickets via Ticket Exchange.
