Guardian/Manchester Thursday gig...
Re: Guardian/Manchester Thursday gig...
Hi Everyone,
Well I'll be there on Thursday too. My daughter tried ringing, was put on hold and then hung up on. I in the meantime went on line, and twice refused gallery tickets, then I couldn't get through. So when I eventually did get through I was shaking and accepted a gallery ticket in case they were all going quickly again, this was at 10.06am! Just to let anyone know, (that doesn't) there is a gallery at the Opera House, its very high and steep too. I'd have much preferred to be in the stalls, but when faced with the possibility of not being there, well there was no choice. Just hope that my legs can make it up that high!!! So happy! Maureen

The tickets actually went on sale early, I was logged in and managed to buy 2 tickets in the stalls before 10am.
I have 2 spares in Gallery for Tuesday, which I can't use , just waiting on a friend to confirm if he wants them,
If not will offer here at cost price £160 + any postage.

Ticketmaster nearly always put tickets on sale 2 or 3 minutes before the scheduled time. My confirmation email is timed at 9.59am.

No luck with tickets
Hi
Did anyone manage to get tickets for the Manchester Opera house through the Guardian offer for June 19th? I got the paper at 6a.m. and got ready for the the long wait.I was also logged onto ticket master and had my daughter trying from her phone we just kept getting cut off and the search bar on ticket master ran for two hours before I jacked in. When we did get through at about 10.20 am we were told all tickets had been sold out! I am gutted to say the least but good luck to genuine fans who got tickets, The touts win again!

Re: Guardian/Manchester Thursday gig...
I was just wondering....
...For the LC concert in Manchester on Thursday, 19th June 2008, may we refer to Mister Cohen's eventual female backing singers as his 'Guardian Angels'.....?

Re: Guardian/Manchester Thursday gig...
Thanks Stan to be honest I'm more concerned about my crutch breaking than the nose bleed, I've just discovered that my ticket is in the back row of the gallery, can't get much further away eh. Once up there though I'll have a nice place to be to recover in!

Re: Guardian/Manchester Thursday gig...
I suspect the back row of the Opera House gallery will be a lot closer than most of the seats at the O2 in London!

Re: Guardian/Manchester Thursday gig...
No, Ms Blue!
You have the music, but it is the touts and Ticketmaster that are ugly. I won't even comment on the little shit who's selling tickets for £799 - except to say that his (hopefully - ex) friend reports him, and somehow gets the tickets cancelled!
All good wishes, John E
