I found a site willing to sell NICE JAZZ FESTIVAL tickets

Post by kahnartist »

dear friends & unified hearts,

it has been posted for some time now that tickets for the NICE JAZZ FESTIVAL would go on sale today. i know bela was told "sometime in may" but as i am an american in paris the france shows are of particular importance to me. (i do already have two tickets to lyon! merci mille fois mon dieu du billets!)

in my searches today online i found all the known (reputable) vendors of tickets saying that NICE is not yet on sale.

however i did find one vendor willing to sell very specific, very real SEEMING tickets for the festival. has anyone ever heard of or dealt with http://www.divento.com ?

http://www.divento.com/show.aspx?l=EN&s ... +-+concert

unfortunately this vendor insists on adding €51 worth of taxes and fees to an order of 4 €51 tickets + a mandatory €15 DHL shipping fee (from where?) to paris. (that's the price of one ticket in fees!)

so - since fnac and ticketnet and virgin are all saying it's NOT yet on sale - WHAT DO Y'ALL THINK ABOUT THIS "divento.com" SITE?

even though it is a pretty penny extra - i may go ahead and buy some tix.

may the ticket gods smile on each and everyone of you!

best of luck,

I wouldn't touch it with a barge pole. How did those people get hold of tickets? They are exploiting people's desperation - even more than Ticketmaster.

And the extra fees are preposterous.

JMO, of course.

I agree with Bela.
I phoned Fnac, which will supply the tickets, and they didn't start selling it. (I don't know where the april-4 date is from...)

April 4th, today, is the day the Guardian newspaper were giving their readers the chance to get tickets for Manchester 19th June. Another opportunity for the touts to get a large quantity of the tickets to resell them it seems :(

That website is probably just another swindle - they are selling tickets that they don't have - they hope to buy tickets when the official booking begins, and only then they deliver the tickets to those who earlier paid a lot extra to them...

yeah, these are bad folks who prey on peoples' irrational fears of not being able to buy tickets through normal channels.

It's hard to imagine that this show will sell out so fast that an attentive fan won't be able to buy tickets properly--the Lyon show didn't sell out at FNAC.com for close to two whole days--and even if money were no concern I wouldn't want to encourage les sales connards that make their livings like this.

Thank you all for the sound advice. It's hard to know how I would choose to behave without the community. Thanks for the support. Really - it means the world to me!

Especially thanks to Jarkko and Co. for making this big virtual family possible.

See you in Lyon? Nice?

Om, with metta,
