Manchester Back on Sale

Post by jondi »

Just picked up front stalls ticket at normal price from Ticketmaster this afternoon and all shows appear to be on sale.
It's a much better seat than those I got in the initial melee.
If any of you are still looking you may like to look there soon.

Thank you so much for this, Jondi - I've just been able to get two great tickets for the Thursday night, so now my best friend (who introduced me to Leonard Cohen in the first place) and I can actually go to hear him together, instead of my friend going to one of the Manchester gigs and me heading off to the O2 (complete with binoculars and parachute!).

Hooray! :D

This just reinforces how badly this has all been handled by Ticketmaster. I bought a Gallery seat for the Tuesday just so I didn't miss out altogether (I really wanted the Friday) and after weeks of agonising finally gave in and bought two overpriced Circle seats on ebay (the Stalls ones being way too expensive). I now had a Gallery seat AND a Circle seat I couldn't use so I sold them individually on ebay - leaving me with one Circle seat in row J which I was reasonably happy with.

Yesterday I did a search and found I could have had, just one week before the concert, an aisle seat in the centre stalls, row M :!: :!: This would have been perfect! I really don't understand why Ticketmaster have done this - why not just release all the tickets at the one time or at least advise us that they would be released in stages? All the people who bought tickets at inflated prices must now be kicking themselves but how could they know this would happen :?:

I won't let it spoil my enjoyment - I'm travelling down from Edinburgh and really can't wait - but I do feel the way this has been dealt with by Ticketmaster is very wrong.

I know how you feel and it is a little frustrating but it/they will be a night/nights to remember. It does look increasingly like there may be seats near the stage that Ticketmaster have to work hard to shift but hopefully the touts will have to work even harder lol

Ticketmaster always have staff seats reserved in a good spot, they generally go on sale the day before the gig if they have not been taken up, maybe they have done that sooner with this as it is a big event.

I'm shaking with excitement.

I saw this thread, went on the ticketmaster website and saw tickets available. Went through the process of booking tickets and couldn't enter my address properly. For some reason they were only accepting bookings from Ireland or International orders. No way to enter a valid UK address. Very frustrating.

So I phoned ticketmaster and was told there were no tickets available by a robot.

Kept trying. Found a different number for ticketmaster where I eventually managed to speak to a human.

Only a few tickets left and I got two in row F of the circle. Fantastic seats.

I'd given up hoping I could get tickets for Manchester, which was disapointing because I live here so I still can't fully believe it.

And I get to go to Edinburgh too.

Won't sleep much between now and Tuesday. :)

Cream of Manchester

.... and I don't mean a beer ... just had delivered from a contact two tickets in Row A for Friday. I only need one so one is available at not a penny more than face value. I guess that all on here may now be fully ticketed up but it is here and ready and waiting if you need it.
