I will come to Props too, but might not stay too long. Will get in line well before doors open to secure a good spot!
Look forward to meeting folks, a great way to celebrate the artist we all love. I get together with 'rusties' (Neil Young fans) all the time, and it is always fun.

As it happens, Neil Young is playing the very same night only about 30km from Copenhagen -- fortunately for me I have tickets to see him the following week in Germany, or else I would feel a bit conflicted.

Cheers,
HarryO

Hi everyone!

Looks forward to meet you at Props. If there are more than I few showing up, will it be a problem with the space?

Can anyone tell me about the concert area and plans. How many tickets are sold? What the capacity? I see that this weekend there will be a "Military Tattoo" with about 9000 spectators. What's the difference between the A and B tickets except for the nearness to the stage?

In Oslo there will be "guest stars". What are the plans for Copenhagen? Anyone warming up? When is Our Man expected on the stage?

Many questions. Hopefully, there are someone local who know more that me about some of these things....

Roskilde

Post by Harryoe »

Elaine:

Roskilde is about 30km or 19 miles from the Rosenborg Have. If you are going to the festival, I understand there are shuttle buses to the grounds from the Roskilde train station. http://www.roskilde-festival.dk/2008/fr ... practical/

The festival is huge, I think six stages or so. The size of the Rosenborg Parade Grounds I do not know, but I guess it holds about 8000 as someone else posted.

They are on DKK. I think Euros are accepted in some places.
7.4 DKK to the Euro.

For example, I am willing to sell my extra ticket (not Golden Circle) for half price:
400DKK or 53 Euro.

If no one buys it, I am going to try to find a cool street artist/performer to give it to.

Sharon Robinson is opening up (and also singing backup with LC I assume)'

I will be at Props too. Copenhagen is nice so far. Sunburned and footsore, but happy!

We will be there. I am very excited. I hope to post some photo (though we will be very far from the stage), in about two weeks, these days we are in a nice tourist trip. 8)

Se you in Props, FYS ;-)

Great show in copenhagen last night. Thanks to all of you who came to the meet up at Props, especially Peter for entertaining us all, Antoni for the CD, and (the sublime) Jonesy for the upgrade and good company. We met a couple (forum members) who came all the way from Australia! Another guy I met and sold my ticket to came from Munich and he met Leonard at his hotel and got to speak to him. Ronny and Lisbeth from Norway were really cool, also Steffi from Hamburg.
Anyone else who was at this show can email me if they want a copy of my short video from the concert. Olga and Jette - sorry we didn't see you !

Harry, you are welcome, it was a pleasure for me. ;-)

Of the forum’s meeting, I remember:

Harry - Scatle USA "Harryoe"
Peter - Denmark "Peter Danielsen"
Klaus - Denmark
Jacqueline - Gales
Andy - USA resident in Munich
Stetti - Hamburg Germany
Lisbeth - Norway
Ronny - Norway
Conxita - Barcelona
Antoni - Barcelona "ForYourSmile"

Excuse me for the mistakes.

I cannot imagine a better way of warming Leonard Cohen's concert, a beer for him and sharing his music with other fans and with my wife. Just I was lacking my friends of Catalonia; I was proudly dressed with the T-shirt than they gave me as a gift from the Dublin concert.

Especially I am grateful to Peter who sang a good list of Leonard's songs, honest and faithful interpretations. A lot of thanks again.

About this guy that could speak in the hotel with Cohen, this one is working to know the feelings that Hallelujah provokes. He said to us that he had asked him what was thinking when he sings, "in the song” Leonard answered. Concise and logical. :D

(I will write more about the concert in "on the road with LC")
