What? Her dad would be better? Her brother would be better?? Has someone of you listened to Martha's latest album? Or the one before? The own songs are counting, not the cover version of Hallelujah of Rufus...
In my mind she's the perfect choice of all Wainwrights for the opening slot!

Martha's twee tones drive me to distraction.

I have seen Rufus in concert with members of his family; accompanied by his own band and performing his tribute to Judy Garland at the London Palladium and, in my view, his talent far eclipses that possessed by of any of his relatives.

she was a rather lightweight support for dad on his last tour. As for Rufus I've seen his tour show with mum and Martha. All I can say is thank God they were there to lift the monotony.

Martha Wainwright is a more interesting artist than her brother or dad in my humble opinion. Her dad is too "country£ for me and whilst Rufus can sing and does some interesting tracks he is more interested in his image than his craft. Martha's first album was one of the best albums by a female singer-songwriter ever and the new one is not bad for a difficult second album.

That's big progress for Martha.

Back in 2002 on Hydra she didn't
even know much about Leonard's songs.
