Here's hoping.
Am really hanging out for an Australian tour. Have never had the pleasure of seeing him live but am getting more and more addicted to his music the more I listen to it.
Have a small select group of friends who would also love to see him here in Oz.
If anyone could give any indication of such a tour it would be greatly appreciated.

Otherwise I may have to take a little trip over yonder to see him.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE

It's too early to get anything confirmed. You have to wait patiently and hope for the best in 2009.

Hi Stefan

Leonard has thousands of followers in Australia. Great concert at the Sydney Opera House in January 2005. Wonderful renditions of his work and available on DVD - I'M Your Man. The Adelaide Festival had two sold out performances of Philip Glass music based on Leonard's Book of Longing in March this year. There is also an annual Leonard Cohen event at Toowoomba. You will always find a Leonard Cohen CD in most music stores anywhere in Australia.
I would say that he would fill the Sydney Opera House 100 times and still have people looking for tickets.
Sydney & Bowral 2009. Lissadell Sligo July 2010 (what a night!). Sydney & Hanging Rock November 2010. Bimbadgen Winery, Hunter Valley, Nov 2013. Sydney Opera House, Dec 2013.
