London-wise, i can see the aforementioned Royal Festival Hall or the Barbican work a treat,
and also think the Roundhouse and the Hammersmith Apollo could work nicely
(and how about a 'warm-up' at the Union Chapel - just imaging 'hallelujah' and 'if it be your will' being done there gives me goosepimples, it would probably be more then i could take )

For Liverpool I would prefer the Philharmonic Hall to that big new Arena - maybe he could play 2 or 3 nights

I have always thought the Bridgewater Hall in Manchester an excellent venue - built for sound.But Liverpool would be an appropiate choice this year, as the European capital of culture.

How great would that be...but in the meantime, if you want a more intimate Leonard experience - come to Paris in November. Olympia is a lovely small old-fasioned theatre. Tickets ain't cheap but hey, it's Len, in a small room - priceless!

There are still tickets left - even as close rows 12, 13... you can get them either from the venue direct (http://www.olympiahall.com/spectacles.asp - scroll down to November to find Leonard) or from GDP (http://www.gdp.fr) - who are a similar operation to Ticketmaster I think.

If you're not a French speaker go for the Olympia site as there is the option to view pages English (click on 'purchase' rather than 'acheter' for English text on the next screens).

Oh man, sooo with you on that one - I would remortgage my flat to see him at Union Chapel!

The Liverpool Arena is an appauling venue, I recently saw Roger Waters there,
throughout the gig, people were continually up and down to the bar,also smoking in the
auditorium throughout the concert .

The Philharmonic Hall would be a superb choice but only holds about 1700 people
so would need 2/3 nights.

Look up "Leonard Cohen" on a general search... it gives three options. Choose "nationally scheduled" ... and there under o2 arena is the cardiff date and a note to say it's on sale at 9am tomorrow - 18/07.
