At least I found my nameday! (January 23th). Since I live in a Roman catholic country, I never got any present on my nameday, coz' my name was such a pagan one.

Maybe next January...

Thanks for this interesting link, Marianne. The only name days I knew about before were based on the old saint's days, and since I'm pretty sure there is not a St Linda, I had despaired of ever having a name day of my own to celebrate. So you can imagine how delighted I was to discover that at least in Sweden I have a day I can celebrate being me.

A very good point, Marianne. I think Lewis Carroll suggested in one of his 'Alice' books that we should also celebrate our un-birthdays. There's a lot to be said for it
