Taking Manna's advice, I decided to go back, for inspiration, to a time before the period in which the other pieces are set.
I hope I've found a happier voice - it's certainly a different one, younger and adolescent.
Summer night city.
I am a girl,
I have a dream.
Kisses of fire,
Lovelight.
That’s me.
Should I laugh or cry
I wonder?
People need love.
I’ve been waiting for you
so long.
Take a chance on me.

I am in Gaul
I have a drachma
Cash is on fire
Love-lite
that's mea (culpa)
Should I love or die
Eye Wonder?
People need gloves
I've been waiting on you
so long, farewell
take a chant on me

Hi Virgina ,
I like your theme, I didn't pick up on it at first it took me a couple of readings.
Luckily I'm a closeted ABBA fan, although I hadn't heard a couple of the songs.
Have you tried it with other artists - Leonard perhaps?

Mademoiselle Michael,
Will you please bring me back a nice piece of chocolate?
I understand that you have burnt all your money and that tips for waitresses who don't bring food are well... not so good.
Perhaps you could flash the cashier of the shop. While he's staring at your surprise, grab the chocolate and run!!!
(you will need to run quickly as he will no doubt want your number and it would be wrong to lie to him)

there is nowt such thing as a nice piece of chocolate. chocolate varies on a scale starting with mediocrity and ending in evil. It is just about usable as a sexual aid but don't try eating it in any other circumstances, it will only disappoint you.
You have understood my distortion of Virginia's pome very well. btw no waiter has ever wanted my number but their female colleagues often ask, doubtless to warn me off ever returning.
