Mr. Cohen's Covers
I'm curious about the type of song that Mr. Cohen covers and am looking for examples. I did do a search here but didn't find what I was looking for. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Re: Mr. Cohen's Covers
Off the top of my head:
The Partisan
Die Gedanken Sind Frei
Silent Night
Misty Blue
To Love Somebody
Can't Help Falling in Love
Tennessee Waltz
Be For Real
Always
I believe that Leonard has occasionally made some changes to the lyrics when adapting these songs.
All good things, John E

To which I might add that the main themes here are liberation from oppression, and romantic love.
Re: Mr. Cohen's Covers
Another song that Mr. Cohen recorded but not written: The lost Canadian. Otherwise I think that you nailed the rest, John

Hi noob,
You're right...I did let that one slip. "The Faith" (which I much prefer) is also based on the same Quebec folk song.

Re: Mr. Cohen's Covers
I'll add one-"Solidarity Forever" from his 1970 tour. There is no recording of it, but I heard it and it is mentioned in the reviews.
