Detroit, May 9, 2009: Fox Theatre

Post by HoomHow »

Well, I was lucky enough to get two tickets, 3rd row center stage on the Mezzanine level for $128 + $18(convenience fee).

I am excited to see Mr. Cohen in such a beautiful venue. After looking at the schedule, I was suprised to see him playing large arena venues. The Fox Theater is a beautifully renovated old style music/theatre venue. I am taking my father for his birthday.

I was wondering if anyone else on here was able to get tickets? I noticed that the lot given for the leonardcohenfiles fans was quickly sold out.

See you there!

We will be there, driving from Nashville, Tennessee. We didn't buy a parking pass...is there parking by the Fox?

I sure hope so  I spaced and forgot to pickup the package with parking oops

can't wait for the show!

Even if you were too spaced to get the parking package it would not have worked. I tried and it was not available with the presale ( maybe because the tickets are will call and you would have to park before you got your tickets?). There is a lot of parking in the general vicinity of the theatre. The Detroit Tigers are out of town that weekend and so there won't be much competition for the available spaces.

Definitely don't worry about the parking. There is a great lot right across the road from the venue. I am sure you will really enjoy the venue as much as the concert!

I've just watched, again, Leonard's 1994 video of Dance Me to the End of Love , with the old couples and those who are left, along with the young, with the wedding photos of the old. When I watch it, I feel so emotional, again... and I'm so looking forward to seeing Leonard in Detroit. I'm happy to say, as well, that I was able to share this video with one of my co-workers and she loves it [how could you not?], and the other three who were seeing, but not hearing it were very impressed with the visuals. They'll listen to it later.

Detroit and the Fox Theatre, with Leonard there, promise so much once again. Thanks for coming so close to 'home,' Leonard.

Yes, in the funny ticket department I got a main floor seat for $129 the day of general release.

But then the other day I checked on tickets and managed to buy myself Orc Pit, Row 1 for $250 at The Fox.

So if anyone needs an extra seat I will gladly sell you my other ticket for $130. That's in Main Floor F 2, Row T.

Congratulations on yours, Walsh 8) ! Worth every penny :D . I'm happy for you :D .

In fact, Walsh, you may want to add another posting here, repeating your information... and I won't respond this time. You might want to do it large, as I did, so it will stand out, if anyone clicks on this thread.
