I, also, am planning for St. Louis at the magnificent, historic Fox Theater. I was going to combine it with Nashville, but travel connections are not ideal.

My mother-in-law just happens to live in Columbus Ohio - and we were planning a trip there in October. Funny how things work out!

Dear Friends,
Anne & I were initially thinking that we would go to Chicago as we can only afford one show (can't really afford it, but you know!). However, as we have been to Chicago many times-most recently in May-now we are thinking that we will go to Nashville. We've only passed through and have always wanted to visit there. We are planning on a long weekend with the highlight of Leonard's concert coming early on Thurs. Nov. 5th. We'll be looking for some advice on what else to do and hoping that we can attend a meet-up both before and after the concert.

Any possiblity that for those of us who had the original Red Rocks show, and would have sat through snow, sleet, wind, rain, wildfires to see the show, but were unable to stay for the rescheduled show,.. any possiblity for an even-earlier-special-presale-code for the fall tour to Actually really pleased that I'll have an opportunity to see Mr Cohen this November...make up for the travel time, air fare, hotel room, rental car, rain panchos, sweat shirts, sadness in our hearts to get as good of seats as we had at Red Rocks but had to turn back?? lol!!!
I actually support you in this idea, ratcub. I would really like to believe that this could somehow work out for you folks. The major dilemma I see, however, is how would anyone know it was really you... or you... or you... or you... If only there were a way to confirm it all, I would love it if that very thing could happen for you.

I made major rearrangements, but in so doing was at least one of the fortunate ones who was able to see Leonard perform at the end of all that rearranging.

We shall surely meet if it works out for us to be there. I think Fred had something to do with arranging this concert. Pam

THANK YOU LEONARD, JARRKO and all the amazing team!! :D :D :D What a year!!

This forum is so enjoyable, everyone so helpful and friendly.

Love to meet up with Cohenites if there's a pre-concert thing in NYC or Philly? Anyone else headed there from London?

Here's my Cohen story... Finally saw Leonard in London, (even my husband enjoyed himself, he had expected a gloomfest!!) after 40 years of wearing out my records (anyone remember them?), tapes (aargh) and CD's...and now he's going to NYC and Philly, just for me, ha, ha  :D

Can't believe I've got another chance to be so happy!!! Well, I thought twice was (maybe) enough, then Barcelona began to happen...but fell through. Gloom. So to find that Leonard will be appearing so near my Jersey-based US cousins, chance to see everything/everyone again...bliss, bliss. One of his blessings must just have landed on me!! 8) 8)

May everyone have another chance to see him, especially the deprived Red Rocks fans. :( For those who worry about his age/schedule, how about those octogenarian classical conductors, Haitink, etc. Rock on, Leonard, you're just a babe...

Just joined the forum when my Belfast friend called to tell me about his show tonight and that he had just read that Laughing Lenny was actually coming to my home town. A wish come true!!!

Pinch me for I think I am dreaming. My hopes have been answered to see LC one more time.

Definitely the san jose show (being the last show) and because I live in Cali.

I'm also thinking the Chicago show and we'll play it by ear for one other show possibly in Ohio.

Hey folks, I'm relatively new to Leonard Cohen. I don't know why I didn't discover him way back when he started. I was a big fan of all the artists who recorded his songs back in the 60s and 70s. But I have been infected with the Leonard Cohen bug and am a die hard fan now. I am planning on going to the St.Louis show and would love to meet up with others who plan to be there. I just spoke to the people at the Fox as I have some mobility issues. They advised me to go ahead and get my ticket thru this site in the Pre-sale and if I need assistance from them as to getting an aisle seat or whatever, they'd be glad to help at that time. I'll be using a walker since I can't stand for long periods of time waiting in line and such and the walker would allow me a place to sit when necessary.

So, if anyone has any advice for me or would like to arrange a meeting before or after the show, please feel free to contact me. I'm 63, and as Leonard would put it, "just a kid with a crazy dream." LOL.

fall 09 concerts

I was so bummed out when I missed the Beacon Theater gig in NYC, but then was lucky enough to see LC in New York (Radio City) and Boston (Wang). It was a wonderful experience. I have followed LC for almost 30 years!!
It is GREAT that he is becoming known to people who never heard of him and the praise he has earned from his tours. I just can't imagine LC doing a concert in a venue as large as Madison Square Garden. Do you think he might add some smaller intimate places???? What cities that are listed have smaller concert halls? Thanks for the info!
