Hi Lizzy,
I am thinking perhaps they have put all of the Leonard Cohen fans together, well at least the $250.00 seats. Row 4 seems to be very common now. I will be interested in knowing if you are moved from Row 4. I will be on the phone with Ticketmasters bright and early....

Yesterday, I also received the email notification from Ticketmaster that the tickets I purchased "...are no longer available due to changes made to the stage configuration" and that "...we are currently holding replacement tickets for you...." Unfortunately (but not all that surprisingly), it turns out that the information I received from "Adam" when I called Ticketmaster Customer Service following the inital announcement of the lay-out change (see post above) was not entirely accurate. I am still in row three but the section and seat numbers are different. I don't know what this means since I now have doubts about the reliability of the other information I received: number of seats per row, seat numbering from left or right, etc. But, no worries, my wife and I will be where they've put us with big smiles on our faces. Ticketmaster's notice tells me that I'm "free to decline the exchange and receive a refund" by 9/29, but I'll happily decline that offer. Whether we're in row one or row seven, or on the left or the right or somewhere in between, we'll all be among friends and able to see Leonard and the band very, very well. It does appear that all of the $250 and $125 tickets for the Tampa concert have now been sold, but really good seats are still available in the $71 classification. Who knows if we'll ever again have the privilege to see and hear Leonard perform in concert...I'm really looking forward to it.

Hello to all of those who will be at the Tampa Concert,
I called Ticketmasters today also and was told that the seats were changed to accomodate the reduced size of the venue ( more theatre like) Anyway I was told by the young man on the phone that there were still seats available in Row 1 and 2 however they had obstructed views. He assured me even though I was put back 1 Row (from Row 3 to Row 4) my new seat assignment was much better and completely unobstructed. That is of course will remain true unless who ever sits in front of me decides to stand through the entire concert. I may have to request if I can sit on their shoulders since I am already vertically challenged. Like you Brysburg I am just happy to be there and among so many fans. I also addressed my concerns related to my tickets arriving on time before I leave Michigan to go to Florida. I was told since I had called and was happy with the change in my seats the tickets would be released and I would have them in 7-10 days with no additional charges. So I will sleep better tonight .... See everyone soon in Tampa...

I'm like you, Brysburg. I was happy in Row 4, I'll be happy in Row 7. This will be my last time seeing Leonard on this tour, so I'm simply happy to be there.

That's an awesome outcome for you, Donalagata 8) . I still haven't checked my email. Maybe in the morning. I'm really tired tonight. I'll be there. Of that I am sure.

Now for LindaB.

Of course I'm happy with row 4, I'm just grateful to have the chance to be there at all. After I licked my wounds, I got off my pity pot, found acceptance and then gratitude.
It's going to be a great night.
Last nights news about Leonard put my" Whining" (and believe me ,I whined!!) into perspective.

Yes, 'real' life has a way of doing that, doesn't it, Linda? I'm still curious where I'll be, but so far haven't found an email from them. Don't remember which email address I used for it. What is the title of the notifying email?

Linda B,
I for one did not view your point on your seat change as a pity party. You had a valid point and reason to question why the change ocurred. I also had the same concerns and questions as you did and that is exactly why I called Ticketmasters yesterday for clarification of why these changes were made. I mentioned your seat change also because you were in Row 1 and moved to Row 4. I was told that my old seat and( possibly yours not knowing your seat number) would be obstructed views with the new venue layout. Being satisfied with the explanation given to me by Ticketmasters I was able to return to my excitement and rejoice in knowing that I was going to a Leonard Cohen concert. How nice we will all be sitting so close to each other. Sometimes things do work out for the best....

We will be sitting right next to you seats 11 and 12. I will be with my sister Sharon. I am bringing her to her first Leonard Cohen concert. Are there any before concert events arranged? Looking forward to meeting you .
Best Wishes,

Hi Brysburg ~

Are you the only one who actually lives in the area? It would be nice if those of us here could meet up before or after Leonard's concert. There don't seem to be many of us. Perhaps, afterward would be best. Might you be interested? Do you know of somewhere QUIET that's reasonably nearby? The reason I put emphasis on that word is that the meet ups where one must squeeze through and talk loudly to be heard are quite unsettling... for me, at least.

Would you be interested, Donalagata and LindaB?

It's interesting to see how the same rationale I used to comfort myself with my Row 4 tickets from the get-go... "At least I'll be there"... is being used now. Even at that point, I consoled myself with the imagination that the first 3 rows would require looking UP at the stage, hence much might be missed. Interesting how we deal with our disappointments. You've done well, Linda.

Hi Lizzy,
Yes ,count me and my sister in for any meet ups before or after the show. I am not at all familiar with the area . I am staying at the Embassy Suites I believe only a couple of blocks from the St.Pete Times Forum but for only one night .

Hi Donalagata ~

I haven't decided yet where I'll be staying, but it will no doubt be less expensive than the Embassy Suites  ... any Motel 6's in the area ;-) ?

I'm hoping that Brysburg will be interested in joining us and will have some recommendations, or if he and his wife are not, at least give us some recommendations. It seems that meeting afterward tends to work better, as everyone's time schedules for getting there and getting settled, flight issues, catching cabs, finding parking, or whatever; plus all the unknowns regarding speed of service at restaurants, et al, vary so much that it creates an unnecessary level of distraction and anxiety [ask Diana about Detroit  ] to meet beforehand. From my perspective, it's better to meet in the relaxed afterglow.

Perhaps[?], I haven't been notified as my seat [hopefully, I must confess] remains the same.
