Jennifer Warnes announces new album

Post by JJR »

Good news for fans of Jennifer Warnes. According to a brief post on her website, Jennifer has just returned to the studio to record new 'solo' material. Could this mean a new Jennifer Warnes album is on the way. Let's hope so. jjr

Thank you JJR for this info,
I am an absolute fan of Jennifer's. If there is a new album in the wind and it's anything like "Famous Blue Raincoat" or "The Well" I will buy it in a flash :)
It doesn't have to be perfect, it just has to B4real ~ me

In 1992, Leonard Cohen released The Future. Jennifer Warnes released The Hunter. Both CDs were very rocky.
In 2001, Leonard Cohen released Ten New Songs. Jennifer Warnes released The Well. Both CDs were very meditative.
In 2004, Leonard Cohen released Dear Heather.

I'd say that their speed is almost the same, as both have new CDs "coming" (Leonard's in its 5th year, as it was announced after Blue Alert), but so far, Leonard won with 2004 release :)

I am sure her new CD will be another quiet gem. Can't wait. Until both CDs are released, Sharon Robinson topped the list of "best Cohen non-Cohen CD" with her Everybody Knows. The Well and Anjani's Blue Alert are somewhere close.
