Is it so?
do we go with the flow?
or is it all a bit of show?
some sort of showmanship or bravado?
do we go naked or wear the tuxedo?
and the circle of life is death
which contrasts with the mirror held over my breath
and to look beneath the silver reflected
you have to be a very good detective
and to tear away the mask and be selective
and declare that it is a parallel existence or plane
isn't your ego so very vain!
and the blood oozed out of the vein
like the tempest before the rain
my body has gone all white, that's a shame
and you look for anyone to blame
whilst the winged horse takes you on your trip of the universe, again
and the last pump of the heart
does tear your soul apart
like a battery doing a jump start
and the mirror reflects
what you grew to detest
that you were never the best
just the poor and the lame
the weak human that inhabited the frame
and languished in love without any name
and into the mirror you do jump like a lifeboat
to return to the fundamental zygote

I am a right bad ass, dankish prince and I love my Violet to bits.

Hi George ~
Excellent poem! You paint your images so vividly, and I like the way you get visceral...It's all interconnected, we can't really separate matter from spirit...it's all from the One Source. To disconnect, dis-associate one from the other is to make value judgements, and second guess the Ultimate Creative Force of the Universe. As above, so below...microcosm, macrocosm..."What you loose on earth, will be loosed in heaven etc."
However, we are supposed to overcome our biological programming so our souls rule our bodies, not vice versa.
As C. S. Lewis said, "You don't have a soul, you are a soul. You have a body."
Love,

So George......
no pockets in a shroud?
no breath on a mirror?
no eyes to see the face in the mirror?
You've hit on the deeply personal question again. Am I a waste of space and time, or is there more to/for me after this?
I like this one George. Several layers of thought in your rhetorical question. Thanks.
Best regards. Byron.
