Please do not be tempted by the above. I know of a fairly large dog kennel available in the area . It can sleep up to 4 Cohen fans (if stacked correctly) and costs 12 euros less than the camper van. Transport to the concert can be arranged (A bike can be hired and a free map is included )

Please contact me for further details ( Price from 87 Euros - Cost varies according to the stacking arrangement in the kennel)

Well dear me we do appear to have upset a few with our offer.

We have a 5 bed-roomed house empty now the kids have gone, all we were doing was offering rooms and Breakfast and transport to the gig for what we considered to be the going rate.
However after discussion with the Moderators we agreed to review our prices, this the first time we have done this and we think we are offering good value for money and certainly not speeding the Irish economy to an early grave as suggested.

It is the Market economy in force here, if anyone makes contact and they feel the price is too high, then they don't taker up the offer and we are empty and wiser, if they do then they and we are happy ( which seems to be an emotion beyond the realm of some posters) and we all go to the gig in the sun together .

Rumours that included in our price are soapboxes for be-grudgers, moralizers and whingers are totally unfounded, although an occasional glass of Merlot may be proffered 'gratis' to guests.

Chin chin

ps. The aforementioned Kennels are full, our 2 dogs are in there ( stacked).

good to see you can laugh at the negative posts.. FYI. (re the going rate), we have booked a two bedroomed cottage (which includes bed linen and towels), thats 4 people, for three nights at total cost of 360 euro. Thats 60 euro a night per couple.!! I hasten to add its luxury accommodation too, I've seen the photos and read the reviews. Hope you do get some lodgers though - times are tough. :)

Heard of a private family home in Strandhill 4 miles from Sligo run by Cohen fans....
So, if you're being so upfront, how come you're now offering this, when in your last you'd only... "heard.." of it...? (although, to be fair in your original post, before it was removed, you said you were running it... so you're consistent in your inconsistency... )

So come on give us a laugh, how "reasonable" are your new rates..??
you may be right, I may be crazy.... but it just may be a lunatic you're looking for...

blah, blah, blah, blah, blah..... plenty

I have a 3/4 berth tent in my garage for free loan if anyone is close enough to me to borrow it!

Come to think of it, Millets sell them quite cheap anyway :)

It's very unfortunate if people are struggling to get accommodation. You could go a little further afield ie: it's 25 miles from Lissadell House to the Carlton Hotel in Belleek and you're situated just beside the world famous Belleek pottery. I see it still has rooms

Hi,
Thinking that I would attend the Sligo concert on the Saturday night,I booked the following accommodation for the 30th and 31st July but have decided for various reasons to go to Wiesbaden and Marseille instead.
I've only paid a small deposit which I don't mind losing and will soon cancel my reservation.

If someone else is interested in the suite,I can let them know when I'm cancelling or else I could possibly go ahead with the booking and let someone else use my name etc.
It seems a good base with kitchen etc

Still looking for a fellow Cohenite... See below!
Maarten wrote:Hi,
I have booked a standard room with 2 twin beds (non smoking) at the Radisson Blu (Sligo), checking in on Friday and leaving on Tuesday (4 nights) for 168 EUR per night. Since I will be traveling alone, someone can have the 2nd bed and we can split the costs... I'm planning on leaving Monday because I've got an early flight back home on Tuesday from Dublin, so I will be canceling the last night.

Requirements if you want the extra bed:
- Leonard Cohen addict
- be nice to me
- snoring allowed (I don't)

Send me an email if you're interested!

Take care,
Maarten

Hello everyone! I suspect most people have their accommodation sorted by now for Lissadell. However, if not, just to let you know that we have just booked an apartment in Yeats Village in Sligo Town. It apparently sleeps four - I need to check if it has two bedrooms though. Also, we had to book for two nights - 31 July and 1 August. We are only going to the 31 July concert so that entire apartment is available for Sunday night to someone with whom we could split the cost. We're paying €200. All the best!

Have just booked two nights at Innisfree International College and Convention Centre at a very reasonable rate. Spoke to a lovely man who guaranteed transport to the concert on Sunday night. I am traveling alone and a bit anxious about not knowing anyone so I am really glad i found this forum. This will be my first Cohen concert and I just can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!
