In a white envelope
I give you what you asked
Your letter of presentation
To your new boss
To the future
To the never more
I do not write about:
The mistrutfulness
The times I spied you
The times I discredited you
The times I did not give you
What you needed
But I reveal for you:
Some traits
You ignore about yourself:
Your meekness and your calm
Your lack of “vices”
And your strength
In the air remain
Your other traits that I myself ignore
Or those I did not see
And I forgive
The time you took that trifle
And I tell you “come back” whenever you want
And now I know that maybe you will never come back
I and feel sorry
This is the end of the “Good mornings”
And “Bye byes”
The labourer
Hi Sandra ~
When I returned to your poem just now, I was surprized to see that what I had written this morning when I read it, was not here. I'm realizing that I didn't submit it because I planned on saying more later, when I had time. However, now i'm too tired
. So, I'll at least repeat what I'd said earlier, which is that I love how you so effectively reveal love and missing in your poems.
