Cohen's Backup Singer, Perla Batalla at the Ford Aug 1

Former Leonard Cohen backup singer and Grammy-nominated vocalist Perla Batalla will be performing in a special benefit concert "Fire & Soul: LA Women Unite for Tia Chucha's Centro Cultural." The concert is Sunday Aug. 1st at 7pm at Hollywood's Ford Amphitheatre. Word has it that Perla Batalla will be performing a Cohen classic or two but nothing has been confirmed yet.

TIckets are $25 before July 25th and $30 after. Students & Kids are only $12- so get them before they're gone!

Thanks for letting us know about this benefit concert. I really would like to go but I have a good problem. That is the weekend I will be winding up my preparations to leave for the LC Krakow Event.

I will have another chance to see Perla perform on October 2, when she has a gig at Royce Hall, UCLA.
