hi, another question folks:
is there an official leonard cohen DVD
leonard cohen DVD
not quite true! There is an official dvd still available on sale which was made from an documentary in 1964 following him on a poetry tour before he began his singing career. It's called Ladies and Gentlemen, Mr Leonard Cohen, and is available from the usual sources or sometimes cheaper on Ebay. It's very good.

A couple of weeks ago I bought Bob Dylan the Promos from 1966-2002 from ebay for a perfectly reasonable price. Why did I buy it (other than the video of Series of Dreams which is just so wonderful) because Sony or whoever haven't got the sense to issue it them selves so I put money into the bootleggers pocket. And its the same with Cohen. I don't want Songs of whatever or many compilations on SACD. I've got it on vinyl and cd why do I want to fork out more money for something I've already got. Get your finger out whoever has the whole of Leonards set at the Isle of Wight. Put it on dvd and guarantee you'll make a mint!

Yeah, I've got this, but I don't like it much. I've read a couple of Len's novels but don't find his poetry too enjoyable. His music, though, is unsurpassed.margaret wrote:not quite true! I always thought there was a dvd of his music videos...hmm guess not...
there is a dvd about the tibetian book of the dead that he did the narration on...I watched it in my eastern phillosophy class. Good Job Leonard!

I loved you for your beauty that doesn't make a fool of me,
You were in it for your beauty too.
While pursueing your dreams, confront your nightmares.
People hold on to the past, because they are afraid of the future.
