Tom, the concert started at 21.15 - no one minute of delay.

In Lucca and Venice there was no curfew, is it regulated by local government or on national level of whole Italy? Lucca show ended at 00.45 in July 2008. I think LC finishes all his shows at 2345 or at latest at midnight this year, as the trucks have to be loaded and on its way to next city. The tight and detailed schedule (in minute detail) is hanging on backstage doors in every venue he plays.

In Lucca and Venice there was no curfew.

Piazza Santa Croce appeared to be a residential area and I am assuming that this was the reason for the early curfew. Certainly there did not seem to be any other reason for the curfew as Florence is clearly an all night city. There would be no reason to finish early to get on to the next show as there was a one day gap but maybe they had a 1.00 am curfew to strip the stage. I went by the piazza around 9.30 - 10.00 am the next morning and was quite surprised how much of the stage and concert setting, raising seating etc was still in place. By contrast, Piazza San Marco in Venice was completely stripped, with only a few stacks of chairs left, by 8.00 am the next morning. This suggests that the local crews were not able to work through the night in Florence.
