Love and hope with a hint of sadness

Post by SuzanneT »

I live in Europe, my financial income does not permit me to travel in Leonardo's concerts over the sea, so now I feel a little sad :( ... European concert ended, halls and rooms filled with tones of other music, or are they hear the cries of goal...
But left me feeling that perhaps love really exists. Or at least I hope it pays to look for her. That suffering, pain, hate and sadness can be replaced by something so limpid unclouded, as the pure love ... the love of human for human, not the traditional love between two people that they love, but also simple, everyday love and respect for life. Simply that there is humanity ...
This year for me full of unpleasant events of mourning and except for two moments, two concerts of Leonard Cohen ... I am sorry that others perhaps will not, but I'm proud that I could at least spend a few moments in his company.
Thak you, Mister Cohen...I love you.

Dear Susanne,
I'm glad it feels so even someone other than me. Leonard opens us to the long-closed doors into our souls and helps us find the good in us. It helps us learn how to give good things about ourselves and others ... ;-)

Dear Suzanne and Susy,

Your words are beautiful and wrench at my heart too. In less than 2 months, those of us in the US will also be at our last concerts. In Las Vegas there will be many many fans from all over the world in attendance. It is a moment those of us who can afford (or maybe not really be able to afford) to be there, will be. I don't know how I will be able to make it through the last concert. The night before will be okay...there's still one more night. But then....the inevitable will happen...and they all walk out for the last concert ever.

There is a remote possibility that Leonard "might" tour after his new album is released, but at the moment, this is it. Even if he does, this will be the last time ever experiencing our Leonard with the UHTC....no more Javier, Dino, Webb sisters... It will never be quite the same.

We have experienced magic....all over the world! Venice, Barcelona, Lissadell, Ramat Gan, the wineries in Australia, Warsaw, Dublin, Ghent, Bratislava, New York City, Montreal, Red Rocks, and a hundred other venues....some ordinary...some ancient. But in it all we've been one....loving Leonard. He has brought us all together by so many means in this modern day. We WILL be there for each other...after the 11th of December. Our languages are different, but we are still one. We will support each other...we will share time and time again...memories...videos...photos...words. We have become friends.

And, we will be there when our Leonard once again runs out on that stage, with new songs...and we will create new memories!

With love,
Diana

Dear Diana,
it is truly amazing that while most of us never meet them in person, we became friends. Leonard has the power to actually put people together ... I'm very proud that I am Cohenites ... 8)
Leonard is a good man with good heart, that it gives us good people. If the world were these people more would be good in the world ... I do not know what I've put in it with him if I could spend a few moments in the debate about life, love, the meaning of life. But probably most of us ... ;-)
All my life I deal with the poetry - I write poetry, I interpret poetry and I play the theater of poetry because I knew and found Leonard. Under his influence for half a year working on my next text poetry for the stage ... Yes, Leonard has the power to put people together and inspire them ... perhaps to create an interesting, perhaps even to do good
With love,

Hi Suzanne, Suzy and Ladydi,

I love all your sentiments. Leonard has made a big difference to my life also. He brings a sense of peace and inner happiness. I really look forward to seeing him at least for the last two of his concerts. Also looking forward to meeting all the fans who make up this forum.

It will be a sad day when the whole Unified Heart Touring Co. breaks up. They are a great team and that is why Leonard is enjoying himself so much.

Hi Suzanne.......Your words are beautiful and their meaning is understood..I too feel the pain of Eruope.s last concert.....My first concert was in Florence, Italy (even though I have been a fan for what seems like forever....My first concert and my first meeting with members of the forum......truly life altering for me!..The warmth and love of the wonderful people I met for the first time was so amazing, it is hard to put into words, but, It will stay with me forever..Just writing this to you now brings back tears of joy and pain......I do not want an ending.....Leonards words and music will be with us forever...He is a constsnt companion wherever I am....he makes me cry and laugh and cry again....he gives me the ability to dream again..to believe there will be love again....he makes me keep trying for the things outside my reach......for the passion that dwells within each of us.......Why Leonard Cohen.......I can only guess that we who hear him, allow him in to the depths of our being and we find he fits so comfortably there...he belongs there and we listen and we feel him and we allow him to become the teacher, the lover, the keeper of our soul......I say we....but I can only speak for myself....If there is one person in my world that cannot hurt me it is Leonard...I only know the man through his words and music, but that is enough.....he speaks for the generation that I have lived and he speaks it so well.......I,too, am afraid of the final events coming up but, I am a dreamer now and somehow, I feel he will get me through it........His life is an example and no matter what lies ahead I will always carry him with me........And would not trade a minute of what he has given me.................................My heart goes out to you and to all of us who will always love Leonard Cohen........................With a big hug and a teary smile.............Jeanne

Suzanne I think that you have expressed yourself wonderfully well,
... the love of human for human, not the traditional love between two people that they love, but also simple, everyday love and respect for life. Simply that there is humanity ...
very well indeed and it has led to many good comments.
thank you.

Dear Jeanne,
our native languages are different, but actually talking the same language. Every time I listen to Leonard or read his poetry, his lyrics, so I feel that this is exactly what I wanted to say that naming it for what I myself do not have words .. Leonard is love and love is Leonard, and this is it, why we love him. Because we all love looking. That human love everyday ...
You're right, even if he never returned to the stage, is still with us ... it is with us in his songs, in his words ... (even though privately they think he will miss time after touring the halls and full of his fans 8)
Dear Cate,
thanks ... just write what I feel .... I'm glad it feels so well many of you, my friends ...

G-d bless you all my friends ;-)
Love
SuzanneT
