SUPERB! Love your choice of song. It continues to get better with each listening. Yes, we need to hear it live before this tour is over (calm down ladies ) - preferably in Vegas! Thank you Arlene for this entertaining video. So well captured. It encompasses the total experience and makes me wish I had been there.

"Never Any Good" is one of my absolute favourite tracks. In Tim Footman's 2009 biography (Hallelujah) he says, "Following the exploitative orthodoxy of the record business in the 1990's, there are also two previously unreleased tracks, so that diehard Cohen completists who already had the last three albums would be forced to shell out again."

for viewers in Germany

"Florian" alerted me that Germany had blocked my original slideshow video, apparently because I used a commercial mp3 of "Never Any Good". Well, I do own the CD and I made the mp3 from it.

over here in Germany many many music videos, nearly all official ones are not available since the GEMA, an organisation like
BMI and ASCAP in the States, having a law-suit with Y-tube to raise their fee.
for luck, live-videos are not included...

I made another version that is not blocked in Germany, the only difference is the audio track. In place of "Never Any Good", I used the audio from my own live video, "Everybody Knows", which I shot in Ghent on August 20. And I changed the title to a "Dia Show" to distinguish it.
