Leonard Cohen 2008-2010 Setlist

Post by astranger »

This is something I made awhile ago on iTunes just for the fun of it and I thought I'd share in case anyone else found it interesting or felt like compiling it themselves. I compiled an "ultimate" setlist compiling all of the songs played on the Tour into a format that represented the concerts as best I thought. Here it is:

Dance Me to the End of Love
The Future
Ain't No Cure for Love
Bird on the Wire
Everybody Knows
In My Secret Life
Who By Fire
Darkness
Born in Chains
Chelsea Hotel
Hey, That's No Way to Say Goodbye
Heart With No Companion
Waiting for the Miracle
Anthem

Tower of Song
Suzanne
Avalanche
A Singer Must Die
Sisters of Mercy
The Gypsy's Wife
Feels So Good
Night Comes On
The Partisan
Boogie Street
Hallelujah
Democracy
I'm Your Man
A Thousand Kisses Deep*
Take This Waltz

So Long, Marianne
First We Take Manhattan

Famous Blue Raincoat
That Don't Make it Junk
Lullaby
If It Be Your Will
Closing Time

I Tried to Leave You
Lover Lover Lover
Whither Thou Goest*

I think this is a lot of fun to listen to. It's a solid three hours (I use the studio versions, except of course for the unreleased songs) of music and it really encapsulates Leonard's career as well as embodies the tour quite perfectly, I think.

I've done this, too, right after I first saw Leonard in 2009! It is really enjoyable to listen to the studio versions of these songs in the tour order, it really highlights the diversity and brilliance of the original recordings, and the wonderful changes in voice and style over the years.

By the way, I also added Night Comes On amidst the solos, since Leonard performed it (once!) in Wellington in 2010! (Oh, I see you have it, a bit later in the list!)
