Hi Martine ~

The exercise just started! You have all weekend for it ~ in fact, you have until Monday night [or early Tuesday AM, depending on where you live]. I still look forward to your other piece, but still.

Hi Lizzy ~ :D

I'm sorry you took my remark to C2 and his ilk personally.... :?

I haven't really been following the details of where others may have taken the premise. I apologise for that oversight.

Of course I'm pleased if someone else could take it and improve on it.
But, that was not what I was talking about to C2.
He tried to play his 'contest' challenge with me via IMs on Allpoetry.
Frustrated in his attempts to get me to 'go for my gun', he got on here to try to find some takers.... I thought he did get some to his initial idea, didn't he?

Anyway, I can vouch for your neutrality and trustworthiness in conducting a blind poetry contest Liz 8)
I'm sure it will be fun.

I rarely engage in 'contests' of any kind - and only occasionally submit prewrites to some on AP if they happen to fit the hosts' parameters.
And, even then, really only to gain a fresh readership.

I do hope this helps clarify to what and whom I was referring.

I hereby endorse your and Laurie's contest idea. You go, girls! :D

~ Makera

P.S. Still no answer to my question to C2 ;)

OK, now I've caught up with you, Martine :D . Why did you sent it to Laurie!?! Anonymity, girl, anonymity. Me, the intermediary. If you did it that quickly the first time around, you certainly have the jist of it still in your head, so redo it and send it on to me.

rick- life's too short (Official Cliche No. 356) for your sort of wounded pride.(O C No 764) there you are throwing toys around and blahing whilst others are in the water, splashig and having fun.

hee hee, you know I'm right.

Ah, yes, Makera, I can see where that misunderstanding occurred. We came to terms long ago, so I was surprized, and appreciate your clarification. All's well :D . Thanks for your support on the contest. I hope the weekend will bring your muse into the room, and you'll end up submitting something, anyway. Martine did and, hopefully, it'll come back around.

Sorry to disappoint your wishful thinking, C2, but your comprehension is very selective, as usual.

I do not enter contests without a synchronous convergence of contest subject and inspiration. (And contrary to your delusions, my inspiration cannot be forced.)

Lizzy's hope is appreciated, but very unlikely to be realized.

Is that clear enough for you, or would something like 'fat chance' be more understandable?

I'm STILL waiting for your answer re the word rhymes you consider unacceptable. :?:

Hehe! Another good one, rick!

There's a strange deja vu feeling here... funny how these egomanic C2 types really are all the same. Can never back up what they say, no examples...nada!
This was about one on AP back in July:

He vanished in a cloud of his own blather as well...
