wouldn't it be great if one of the horses were to perform to a leonard song?
i read an interview in the london evening standard ES magazine with laura bechtolsheimer where she says, in regard to her horse, alf :
...Training playlist I have to train to music that works for Alf. He doesn’t like reggae or Elvis — he needs a rhythm he can work with — we won silver in the World Championships in 2010 to The Shadows’ song ‘Apache’...

gymnastics in the olympics 2012
apparently some of the (human) gymnastics are done to music too.

Hi sebelmoth2003,
I've been to very few dressage events but did give this some thought. I suppose a slowed down version of part of "Closing Time" might work. Then again, maybe it wouldn't. Other than this slim possibility, I can't come up with anything else. For humans though, engaged in dressage or not, this cover of Leonard Cohen's "Ballad of the Absent Mare" is a good listening choice: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wCJPll_5lPc.

Hi,
Here's some non-Leonard Cohen music that might work nicely (and probably has) for dressage events:
