A New Yorker told me that that he believed there were only three or four rows in the very front, AAA-DDD.

RE: will call option

Sufjan Stevens recently performed in NYC and he wanted to discourage scalping. Because of this new law, they had to put the tickets on sale 2 days prior to the concert so the only option was will-call (since there is no time to mail the tickets out).

I just accessed a VIP package by NOT entering the Pre-sale password and leaving 0 in that field...then entered 1 in the VIP package field. Row CC came up.

By the way, on the NY law that ended "Will Call" for us in NY, this provides some interesting reading.

Also - the thread has been viewed over 5000 times (presale password) so it looks like lots of people have been trying.

NO PASSWORD NECESSARY FOR VIP TICKETS -

The tickets I saw for "best available" started in Row PP ORCH
The tickets for VIP were in front rows - like - CCC PIT

And - I just looked again now - a couple hours later -

Best available - Row PP ORCH - still being offered - $282.90
VIP Diamond PIT CCC ($575)
VIP Emerald ORCH Row C ($350)
VIP Sapphire 1st MEZZ Row C ($275)

Buying from someone else is the only way I'm going to be able to see him in N.Y. ~ unless TM makes more [better] tickets available, which is the same stuff they're known for already. It's unbelievable to me that they would even pretend that something in row PP is a great pre-sale seat.

I'm not understanding that an Emerald ORCH Row C is considered as a VIP. You have to go all the way through the alphabet with the double letters before you get to the single letters... so $350 for 33 rows back and merchandise. Not exactly a great deal. Now, the merch for Diamond with a decent seat... not toooooo bad. But still SO much money!

Seems that NYC venues are all highway thieves. At MSG, VIP seats could be as far back as 20 rows; fortunately, it was a bit easier to get a good non-VIP seat there, then it seems to be at Radio City. We got a non-VIP seat in the 4th row, in the presale (thank you!). . .But still, it's pretty ridiculous that a VIP seat could be as far back as row 20, when they were selling non-VIP seats that were so much closer!

Not 5000 times but about 350 times after the opening of our presale. 5000 views since the message about presale links was posted on the day we announced this tour. I have updated the text several times.

Does anyone who's been to Radio City know how close CCC is and what the number range is for the pit? The Diamond packages are disappearing... but the pit is lower, so is everyone there having to look up? [I can't stand the thought of paying almost $600, even if I do get merchandise. I'm always so afraid something's going to happen to it that I tend to leave it home on purpose :? !]

Well that makes better sense (350). I was concerned that a gazillion scalpers - or hustlers with intent to sell to scalpers - had descended into the thread to get the password.

Right at 10am, the best I was offered for RCMH (I had three computers going at once) for the $150 seats, which was what I was searching for, was J just to the right of center, which is 36 rows back (not counting the pit). I have no idea where that price begins, so no idea whether or not these seats are "good" or not.
But, yay, I have tickets!!
Thank you Jarkko and Marie, and all others involved.

Have you been to Radio City, sturgess?

Do you know how CLOSE that Row CCC is?
Do you have to look up to see anything?
And do you know how the numbers run there? Like 1 through 20 or something?

I called Radio City and talked to a call center rep, who asked me what city and state the event was in... then his map didn't show how far from the stage the Pit begins and he also had nothing on what the seat number range was...

Have a look in the link provided by its4inthemorning

http://musichall-ny.com/Tickets-Active. ... venueID=49

make the plan bigger and you will see the seat numbers in each section. row CCC looks third row to me.

Lizzy

I have a PDF seating plan for RCMH but unfortunately it's too big to post and I don't have time to fiddle around with it. Row CCC is third row in the pit. The numbering goes from right to left as you look at the stage. Seats 9-18 are in the centre block. Seats 1-7 are on the right - seat 1 being the end seat on the right. 20-26 are on the left as you look at the stage with seat 26 being the end seat on the left.

I hope that helps. I can't believe that there are still pit seats available after all this time. Someone was getting a VIP ticket for me but we couldn't get anything at all in the pit.
