Hi,
Glad that there's going to be another staging of a play about Woody Guthrie: Woody Sez: The Life
and Music of Woody Guthrie. This one is being produced by People's Light & Theatre Company in
Malvern, PA. The People's Light production runs through May 25, 2014. I'll be there this weekend.

Play About Life and Music of Woody Guthrie
Re: Play About Life and Music of Woody Guthrie
Saw this at the Celtic Connections festival in Glasgow a couple(?) of years ago. It's well worth seeing if you get the chance.

Re: Play About Life and Music of Woody Guthrie
Hi,
Saw the play at People's Light and have recommended it to others. What a record Woody Guthrie left
of music, words and deeds. (Remember the first person narrator's words in Leonard Cohen's "Famous Blue
Raincoast" about keeping "some kind of record"? Yes, of course you do.) The play's script draws from what's in
Woody Guthrie's record to tell his story and that of some of the momentous times and challenges that
Guthrie and others faced. There's power here. You can feel it and enjoy it too. The musicians are
excellent.
