Bob Dylan's vocal improvement

Post by cohenadmirer »

I'm sure i wasn't the only one to be pleasantly surprised at the quality of Leonard's voice when he reemerged into live work at the age of 73, and as he progressed through his seventies his voice seemed if anything to improve..Now 74 , and in the middle of his longest ever European tour, Bob Dylan's gigs are getting great reviews and many think his voice and singing is better than for many many years - I hope it continues to improve as leonard's did

Here's a recording i made at one of his Bob's manchester gigs

I saw Bob Dylan at the Royal Albert Hall last week and I have to agree with cohenadmirer, his vocals have greatly improved and he was on very good form. It was a great evening in a wonderful venue; a mixture of nostalgia and new beginnings! If you get the chance to see him somewhere along the way then I think you won't be disappointed.

There are some great reviews out there but this is one of my favourites... I think the last paragraph says it all.

Thanks Hartmut.

Dylan played his last UK gig in Southampton on Friday night and plays Brussels tonight. The reviews seem consistent this time round (hope that continues), though you can never please everybody.

Only a few more days till the release of the new Bootleg series vol. 12. Already ordered the 2 Cd set, but tempted by the 6 CD Deluxe edition, though I don't think I'll be buying the collectors edition at just under £390! However tempting they make it look!

You sound as if you speak from experience. - When I saw Dylan in Berlin, there was currywurst and Pilsner beer on offer ...
