Oh, that one would definitely be on my list, too (if I had a list) -- top 10 if not top 5 -- awesome movie! Love the opera scene -- just wonderful!

Re: never-ending gallery
Absolutely agree, Lisa!
I didn't have a list until now but It was the very first movie that entered my head to write down.
One of the best movies ever! Here's that priceless Mozart scene - https://youtu.be/Bjqmg_7J53s
Speaking of Mozart, here's a clip from Amadeus in my list - https://youtu.be/tgZhaFFNVc4
And just to keep things LC like, I think I'll add the Shrek movie with Hallelujah to my list

Thanks for that Shawshank clip -- love it! (And Shrek -- such a charming movie -- great fun!)
I really like Amadeus, too (I actually watched it again just a few months ago), although its main premise is highly unlikely, but good movie, nonetheless. My favourite scene from that movie is when Salieri is talking about the Adagio from Mozart's Serenade No. 10 for Winds (as it plays in the background), and I can totally relate to his waxing eloquent about it -- it is a truly sublime piece of music that never fails to give me chills! (and it sounds nothing like bubble gum! There's your LC reference!). The scene is here:

the middle one, yes. the top one ordinary wooden crayons, or whatever the modern terminology is. the bottom one just an ink pen. so three different types, one might say. it never fails to amaze me that no matter how chaotic or haphazard leonard is drawn, it usually resembles him in some way - no matter if the lines don't seem to fit at all at the time. thank you for commenting

i have to go out soon, scrape the ice off the car and drive to moa amfi where there are lots of cafes and restaurants serving food from different countries. it is just so wonderful there, so big, free parking, hordes of people from all over the district, huge library, pubs, hundreds of shops. it is actually three massive buildings with multi-storeys, all connected with enclosed bridges that go over roads, so it is not necessary to go outside at all. it is possibly norway's biggest shopping centre, or 'mall' as the americans call it - and it is a wonderful place in which to spend some time. lights flashing, competitions, moving staircases, music as you pass individual stores and through loudspeakers, christmas decorations, everyone smiling and busily going from place to place as they buy things for themselves and their friends - paradise on earth. i love it, and it's only a twenty-minute drive inland! you can't compare such an oasis with anything else, because here is a place bubbling with life, where an atmosphere of exciting signals and impulses can permeate one's spirit so that one returns home filled to the brim with inspiration and a burning desire to be creative - unlike when you return from a trip looking at fields and sheep in the country and just feel completely dead inside and wish you had a bottle of alcohol.
now that is something michael has in common with donald trump, neither of them have ever drank alcohol - can you believe that! i have nothing against teetotalism, but what on earth are they frightened of? afraid they won't have the self-discipline to stop? it is fanaticism at its worst if you ask me. why can't they just have an occasional glass once in a while like me, what harm can come of it if you have your wits about you? am i not a healthy and well-balanced person? people can be just so insane. fancy going through life like that! maybe it's a psychological thing that they are inflicted with, i don't discount that. it's just that i hate to see people turning their noses up at things because of some imagined reason. well, it's nothing to do with me and i have no intention of involving myself in their affairs - their problem not mine. all i wanted to say was that most people like to relax with a glass of plonk. even jesus had the gumption to know that to stand out and be popular he needed to impress people, hence his first magic trick was to fool a crowd of naive onlookers into thinking he'd made wine out of a jugfull of water. yes, cunning little devil, to be sure. anyway, as i said, i don't want to get into any of that because as someone here once said: people believe what they want to believe - even though the enlightened amongst us are laughing inside.

Re: never-spending salary
Recently, when I was drunk as usual, I decided to taste coffee for the first time. It did some good, it did some harm. Then I met Sir Lancelot, he was 2 metres tall! How come the Knight is long?
Re: never-ending baloney
hello michael, how lovely to see you again. after having had pets for so many years i have learned that rattling their food dishes never fails to bring them running.solongleonard wrote: ↑Fri Dec 10, 2021 4:35 pm Recently, when I was drunk as usual, I decided to taste coffee for the first time. Re: never-suspending lingerie
I took my daughter to Bath for the week.
Re: never-suspending lingerie
that is all well and good, but you should remember that to maintain the respect you have built up over the years priority must always be given to this forum. you do have a mobile communication device, i assume - one that allows you to connect to the internet no matter your geographical location? well, then i suggest you make use of it to avoid long periods of absence from a community that deserves better behaviour.
now, onto your sentence "i took my daughter to bath for the week". anyone who has read as much about rhetoric and psychology as myself will know that the way we construct our sentences tends to reveal much about our personalities. a less insecure person might have written "i traveled with my daughter to bath for the week", as that does not imply an unappealing need to feel superior. what say you?
these are not by any means meant as criticisms, merely little tips on how to conduct oneself during social interactions and make a good impression - a field in which i am recognised by those in the trade as having exceptional knowledge. don't worry, you are not a hopeless case. there is nothing wrong with you that my expertise - together with a little encouragement - cannot rectify.

Wow, you have missed me. Your reply is weedy. Changing Bath to bath may have allowed you a frisson of excitement, but as you construct your mitigation now, I am left with the sad reality that you didn't copy and paste from my post. You actually took the time to change the Capital to lower case. Poor you.
I wished you better when you were recently assaulted. I was sorry for you. I wish you better now. Again, I am sorry for you. For many, having their own part of a forum might be enough. In your case, maybe it is grandiosity that has left you needing obsequiousness.
I am happy I took my daughter to that City. The plan was for her to recover from a relationship separation.
