Eija and I have heard this sad news this morning. We met Babet and Oscar so many times in various places, and have been in contact throughout the years. Babet was such a charming, loving and warm person. We all will miss her. Now our thoughts are with you Oscar. Our deepest condolences.

Oh, Oscar, I am so so sorry to read this awful news. I had no idea of Babet's health situation. As you already know, I felt
a very special affection for Babet, as well as for you; and her/your family cards were always such a delight for me. I still have them all, with their beautiful photos. I always thought that for sure one day I would meet her, meet you both, though. There was just no reason for me to think otherwise, and I looked forward to it. Her sweetness and warmth shine through in these photos of her and of her and you. From what you have written, I'm glad that she is out of severe pain; but now you suffer your own pain in her absence. She is gone far too soon. Please know that my heart is with you in your loss of your beautiful and loving wife. May Babet Rest In Peace, and may her precious memory forever be a blessing. I'm so sorry, Oscar.

Oscar I am so sorry to hear your sad news about Babet...I haven't met either of you in person but remember telling Babet how close you lived to my sister in law Gonnie and then you visited her gardens and terrace at Imkerij Immenhof in Heumen. I received a beautiful card from her after that.
