why did you remove the invite to all the forums to come over and join our poetry comp. on the poetry forum?

I can't speak for Jarkko, but my guess would be because you decided to spam the whole board.

Hi Anne, but it absolutely wasn't spam! we are going to have a new comp. soon, here on one of the LC forums and we thought it was a good idea to invite other LC fans over there to join in.

Invitations in the News section and the Poetry section are enough and surely will be noticed by all members. This was not something that should be announced in the "Berlin 2006" or "Cover versions" etc. sections. I value the initiative very much, but even a good idea becomes spam if it is seen everywhere.

About all of us are using the "view posts since last visit" routine, and it does not look tempting if you have the same message on your screen ten times!

I don't think there are very many topics that would give any of us (including me as the moderator) reason to announce the news in every section. Only one comes to my mind right now. Can you guess what it would be? :P

Jarkko, is this a slight hint that you're going to spam the forum with a Leonard World Tour Announcement soon?

Amazing! Like all my wishes I had for life came through in the last few weeks! married the woman I loved, some weeks ago; had some financial and business deal sorted out favorably some day sago, and now a LC world tour! What more can I wish? (Just remember Hermann Hesse Glasperlenspiel as a reminder of - this might be it, no more .......
Silly thought; I wil be (together with my wife) at most of the concerts, a personal worls tour! Get the dates over, and on to my travel agent! What a great day! I love life!

I would welcome a poetry competition. Perhaps there may even be some poetry.

     ~ Yes, speaking of the "old Lizzytysh" ~     .

I was listening to a special on Renata Tebaldi yesterday ~ "a great rival to Maria Callas" ~ yesterday and thought, "Yeah, I'm not falling for this one, again." But, her death really was recently, December 19, 2004. "Patrick Smith, former editor of Opera News, says the sound of her voice was like 'pouring cream'."

Gotta tell ya, though. That's one of those I don't even want to live down. Just too funny. Count on me for the latest! Long as you don't mind a 30-year wait   .
