Leonard Cohen shunned at R&R Hall of Fame?

During a recent visit to the Rock and Roll hall of Fame in Cleveland, Ohio, I was disturbed by the omission of Leonard Cohen's name and his great body of work. While it is arguable that Leonard is not typical "rock and roll" (like Chet Atkins???) does he not deserve some mention? In fact, I noticed that Canadian artists were largely ignored at that museum. Is rock and roll restricted by international borders and flags?

Joni Mitchell and Neil Young are in the rock hall. They're Canadians.

The rock hall is not reserved for just rock musicians. Lead Belly, Hank Williams, Johnny Cash, and Bob Dylan are all in. For some strange reason, Leonard Cohen and Joan Baez are not! You can blame Jann S. Wenner for that. He is the founder of Rollingstone magazine and he is on the voting committee that decides who gets in each year. You have to kiss his ass first before you can get inducted.
