Dear Heather Picture

Post by UbiquiDP »

I have the Dear Heather poster on my wall. I glanced at it while I was half asleep yesterday and it occurred to me that the woman in the picture looks exactly like Anjani Thomas. Am I being incredibly slow? Is this an old, known fact? Is this a drawing Leonard did of Anjani? Compare it to the picture on her Blue Alert album. The features are a perfect match. I know this is a boring post but it's late and I'm slightly drunk and it intrigues me. I love the drawing. I think it's one of my favourite album covers.

Love,

Not boring at all, Dominic. We've been trying to figure out who Heather is... and I don't recall Anjani having been mentioned. You could be right  and how funny if you are... the classic case of what's right in front of your face not being noticed. As I picture the drawing in my mind, I recall our citing 'Heather' seeming to appear Oriental, and Anjani is part Okinawan. I believe yours is the best guess, yet 8) . Simply looking at the photo of her [sitting], in the bio section, of her site... :o ... the simplicity of the lines of her face, her features, and her hair... very consistent.

Anjani Heather Thomas  ~ or some very strong, subconscious lines by Leonard, perhaps :) .

Here's a funny tidbit from her site ~ regarding filming video footage for Blue Alert with Lian:
The only bummer was standing for hours in 5” heels, which led me to abandon my green tea energy strategy for the craft service table. Five butter cookies, two Turtles, Red Whips, and a DingDong later—and baby, was I humming.

 And, boy, can I relate  !

I recall someone already noted this (Tchoco?). It does look to me, at first glance. But those four lyrics leads to old times, I think, at least winter is in game, and he says "again", what leads me to think it was long ago, while Anjani is, well, the present  But of course, the drawing could be only attached to lyrics, it doesn't mean they're from same source or made by same inspiration, but mere they were joined for the sake of artistic impression.

Damn, thought I might have actually had an original idea there for a moment :-) Oh well... one day.

Don't feel bad, Ubiqui ~ I don't recall seeing it. Thanks, Tom, for that info... and, yes, the name of the album is Dear Heather; but that doesn't necessarily mean the drawing on its cover needs to be [though it does make sense that it would :? ].

It wasn't Tchoc. It was Midnight who first noticed the resemblence. I personally think the song was originaly entitled Dear Anjani but was changed to Dear Heather.

Well, now, that could change the listening, couldn't it? Fast forward to the future? Well, present.

Heather is Leonard's pet name for Anjani.
