Red Poppy - the emperor has offered me his new clothes - should I accept? Cazmac and I could go in, arm in arm.

Byron - thank you for the link - haven't heard Georgie or Alan for years but really liked that song way back when.
Will check out you're other recommendation too.
No 6 - oh I got the wrong end of the terrace -so we're all welcome, are we?
Would Margaret do a few butterfly cakes?

If you must insist upon visiting we'll have to have the septic tank syphoned again. It was only done 8 years ago. The earth closet will be OK as a stand by, just don't try and sit down.
The torrential rain we've been enduring this week means that the duckboards to the outside privvie are somewhat waterlogged. But if you can run quickly you'll get to the privvie within a minute or two. Best to think 'long term preparation' for any 'comfort' visits.
I've ordered in some extra newspaper from the local newsagents from his unsold stock. Did I mention the cat's 'problem'? If you could wear wellington boots, you'll avoid ruining your shoes. Looking forward to meeting you all.

You haven't left a spigot running somewhere have you? So Diane had the right idea.......has she visited you before? Back to the wetsuits and snorkels so. Would you check the Yellow Pages and see if we could have a job lot of these, in a variey of sizes and colours, delivered to the Gallery, around 6? Can we use your car, to change in? Is there a canal connecting Manchester to Chester? God we'll be exhausted by the time we see Alber. You're not bringing him with you are you? He may still be contagious.

Red Poppy - Where have you been? harvesting the shamrock for Sunday? Don't overdo it. You did say strategically placed didn't you? I wonder is it Leonard's prints or the thought of your outfit which is keeping me awake at night.
Between that and the prospect of beezles and worry over whether Cazmac (who hasn't been heard of in a while) will be arrested (maybe he already has), and whether there'll be a lock keeper on duty late on Sunday night, and rehearsing all my Tremeloes songs, I'm going to be exhausted by the time this exhibition starts. I'll be the one in the corner, snoring. Give me a nudge, won't you?

Alber has his own wetsuit. Bought with his weekly pouch-money, at great expense, from Poundstretcher. It is a pink one and he has a spare to go with it. He's given it a pet name (very odd for a bear) and calls it Marigold. It's come in very useful this week because he can't negotiate the duckboards that have been submerged. He has a difficult time getting into it, but getting out of it is an absolute sod of a job. He refuses point blank to cover himself in talcum powder before donning it. You've no idea how impossible it is to get a bear, covered in syrup, honey and raspberry jam, out of a wetsuit. If you do have an idea of what it's like, well...... 8)

just been down to the gallery, they're actually in process of hanging the art as I write so I managed to have a pretty good look through the windows as they were doing it, it's very exciting to see it and to know that Leonard will be there on Sunday

I think it's also the first show for the gallery in new premises, I've been familiar with the gallery for years but the Leonard show is around the corner from their original premises, which is still there but now they have another space in a brand new building and very smart it is too, I think Leonard will be impressed (I hope the weather is not quite as bad though, torrential downpours in Manchester this morning I'm afraid)

Take large waterproof plastic bags to carry the armloads of items that you will be buying. There's nothing worse than soggy lythographicals  and pulped posters. :(

Excitement is building up here in Glasgow and Sunday is not so far away. Just the smell of whisky and nothing else - perhaps for the last time I saw Leonard in Glasgow in 1979 but this old body is not really up to that these days! The smile however will be there, the smell of whisky will be there - and let's see what the evening brings........
Cheers

Come on someone, help this damsel in distress!!!

Perhaps a petition to the Gallery asking for Paula to be admitted?

I have emailed the customer services at the gallery asking if there is any chance of us bringing an extra person.

Here's hoping!

Margaret - I'm sure the Gallery will be accommodating. If not I have a 'no show' so could include you, Paula. Will watch this space. Why did I think you were a thousand miles away? Think it'd be safe to make your other plans. WIll be in touch.
