Interesting paradox of life Partisan, is it not?- That one must engage hypocrisy to unearth the hypocrite. One must indulge slagging to take the master slagger down a peg or 2. Ahhhrgg said Pilate, I have blood on my hands.
No you have not attacked me personally, but then I post so little------.
You have attacked most of the members repeatedly. What you put out; you get back.
Get a life. Deepest apologies but that hackneyed cliche seemed the most appropriate. It stands. :P I put my hand up to admit puerile response.

James ~

Whether I'm old or not, Crone or not, lonely or not, fat or not ~ all irrelevant. None of these factors will create a personally-threatening [emotional response] atmosphere for newcomers or people already here. The specific issues that were being addressed with regard to you, however, will. Those issues were addressed only in response to particular things you said.....not broad-sweeping generalizations or accusations.

It is notable that you have side-stepped any/all personal responsibility or expression of concern regarding any of the above and, instead, reverted to beating a dead horse. To claim having an "audience," as you do both here and in the chatroom, gives the impression that first, you have delusions of grandeur. Though some people may read and like what I've written; or read and dislike what I've written ~ I would never claim to have an "audience" unless people exchanged their hard-earned money or came to a particular place in order to see/hear/read me, with that specific intent in mind. It also gives the impression that what you say is for the benefit of some form of applause from others, rather than any heartfelt expression of your own, regardless of any anticipated response. You seem to consider yourself another Don Rickles. There is definitely a type of person who enjoys this type of humour, I just don't happen to be one of them. I will admit that there are bound to be some of those here....simply the law of averages.

I have no idea why you and your following have such trouble understanding my postings. I have no idea why people would gravitate to you to advise you of their discontinuing posting.....as though yours are of preferred format and content. Or, perhaps, you are the unofficial president of the Anti-Lizzytysh League. Either that, or they have come here, recruited from other sites, or of the mentality of the other sites, which condone and encourage postings fairly limited to bashing others. For you to feel that yours [in particular] are preferable to mine; and for those deeming to contact you, to feel that yours [in particular] are preferable to mine, truly baffles me  :? .

On the other hand, I have also been contacted privately ~ as well as publicly, in the chatroom ~ to be encouraged to "just continue being yourself." In fact, you were in the chatroom, as well, on one such occasion. However, I would never deem such contacts to be "part of my audience."

I have more to continue with, but no time available at the moment.

Spare yourself the effort Tysh. I only mentioned audience becasue others were erronoeusly suggesting no one at all appreciated what i write. It matters not to me anyway. I am guessing you did not get my private message.

Fellow members, The point has been made by one and all and I do hope that p. will in time give due consideration to all remarks???? Ah well. One can only hope that the incidence of exasperation will diminish. Parry on if you must but I would like to depart this topic with a post script from James Taylor; a singer/songwriter dear to my heart.
You can run but you cannot hide, this is widely known.
What you plan to do with your foolish pride when you're all by yourself alone.
Once you tell somebody the way that you feel you can feel it beginning to ease.
I think it's true what they say about the squeaky wheel, always getting the grease.
Better to Shower the people you love with love;
show them the way that you feel.-
Things are gonna work out fine if you only will.

The bold lettering is my emphasis not the way James wrote it. :D

witty-owl, a variation on your bold endeavour, from my grandfather was, "the squealing piglet always gets the tit." How apt after all these years.
"Bipolar is a roller-coaster ride without a seat belt. One day you're flying with the fireworks; for the next month you're being scraped off the trolley" I said that.

I am most likely going to regret even commenting here, at the advice of a friend telling me I will only get attacked, how ever I am going to.

I became a fan of LC's music well over four years ago and discovered the forum shortly there after. It was a wonderful place to come to find out more info on this guy I had never heard of. I am not a gifted writer, I do not even like most poetry at all, however for some reasons LC's words spoke to me and still do. Partisan was a member of the forum when I first came to it, and I have no idea how long he has been a member and have no personal contact with him. However, I am not aware that he has run anyone off this board in those years that I have been here. A lot of the old members are gone however, and the list of members is long, and very few contribute. Seems like something is wrong but I don't believe the finger can only be pointed at one here.

Linda, the fact that longer-standing members no longer post very frequently is not necessarily indicative of anything wrong. You must have noticed yourself how certain topics keep coming up. When you first join a board like this all topics are new and interesting and one is tempted to comment on them all, but after a while there is a certain amount of repetition, and one might only step in if someone made a new point or one had specific information to offer. So it could just be part of a natural process that results in the newest members being the most active.

Yes, that makes sense in some, maybe a lot of the cases, however they seem to not comment at all. At least I haven't seen some of the older members names for a long time.

THE CYBER JOURNAL

The PoetryCop was released today from the hospital where he has been recovering from a viscious attack spearheaded by the notorious hijacker "Lizzytysh". He sustained multiple injuries which caused the courageous officer-of-the-law to drift in and out of conscienceness for months.

Asked if he would return to his beat PoetryCop replied, "After perusing the poets' defense of their own poetry I realize I am needed now more than ever." With a steely glint in his eye PoetryCop continued, "Therefore I arrest...tom, Lizzytysh, Byron, aavalanche, George(s) and that pompous ass, Witty Owl."

All who appreciate poetry applaud this dedicated public servant.

letter from a prison cell

Post by tom.d.stiller »

Members of this forum -

My old friend Tom asked me to post the attached letter to you. Just to inform you: I never cared much for what he wrote, but since he always was by my side when I was down, I just couldn't say "No" to his request.

Kind regards

Jack O. Hartz

tom.d.stiller wrote:Dear friends and former fellow forum members -

You remember I had been arrested by the PoetryCop together with a whole bunch of "rapists of the English language". Those words still reverberate in my mind: "I arrest...tom, Lizzytysh, Byron, aavalanche, George(s) and that pompous ass, Witty Owl." It was luck, because I could have been arrested for loitering... but I had been in good company. So they sent all of us to " the J. Edgar State Penitentiary for the Punishment of Poets" - why, I could've been sent to Parchman Farm, had I loitered and only come out to insult...

It was a hearty welcome we had of it. One fellow, almost seventy now, still incorrigible, though more into drawing lately than into writing or singing, greeted us at the gate with the words: "So you finally broke into prison..."

Another came up to me and said: "Now you can mail your letters from desolation row." I asked him for his name, but he simply said: "Call me any name you like, I'll never deny it." So I decided to call him Bobby. He then showed me around the whole pen.

They have some strange trees around here, and some of them have a strange fruit. The inmate who led me around, Bobby, pointed at one of them, called the POE-tree. A man was hanging there, upside down, feet pointing to the spacious sky. "They caught him violating the rule not to write poems anymore," Bobby told me. The poor guy had written a song, beginning with the lines "This cell is your cell, this cell is my cell..."

But we have a lot of fun here, too. Yesterday the warden threw a party. This cured me from my old love to Rock 'n' Roll. All day long we had to listen to R&R music, and every second song was Chuck Berry's "Sweet little sixteen". I'm fed up with that song now, but I have to admit it was almost funny to see our warden duck-walk around and vainly trying to sing along...

I found out it's not too bad a place to live, after all. Many good people to talk with, and you're encouraged to write bad prose all day. Even good prose isn't strictly forbidden. Letters to friends are allowed, and most of us put aside an empty page now and then to secretely write poems. We're incurable, you know. And I love that you're really able to concentrate in this camp.

I asked my dear old friend Jack O. to forward these lines to you, and instructed him to change my profile in a way that it correctly reflects the changes that have come to my life.

Long live the State
By whoever it's made

Tom

PS: Byron's cell mate, a queer fellow from England, calling himself Will, asked me, if a fellow called partisan was still around the forum. "Why, of course, I said, he's the District Attorney there." "Oh," Will said, "if you ever write to the forum, send him a message." I promised to do so. The message is: "Partisan, if thou still recallest my sonnets having 16 lines thou art condemned to add the missing two lines to each of them in a way that there is a consistent rhyming pattern and the content remains unchanged."

You are found guilty of abusing the decent members of this forum with your outrageous attacks designed to boulster your flagging ego and psychotic desires to be loved, masquarading as a BAD BOY. You secretly want to be hugged and liked as well but instead will continue to rape in all formats, contributers to this Board. You are exiled to Mt. Baldie for Ten years without any computer, handcuffed in boxing gloves to curb your desire to abuse others and in doing so............ yourself.
This is the sentence of this forum..............
Poetry cop..................back to jail!!!!!!!

An interesting punishment, although i did say i was not certain. Does this mean that Tysh Darling needs to remove 8 lines from each? Now that would be much harder.

Having been arrested and subsequently incarcerated amid a barrage of personal insults and ridicule; witty owl wishes to report that he must take his leave of this forum. Internet access is denied linguistic rapists and "pompous asses". When he is in due course released to the free world again, he shall resume life in the real word and leave the cyber deception to those who must continue on with this realm.

Best wishes to those friendly souls and good riddance to the rest.

OH NO!!!!!!!!!!!
F...!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Witty Owl,

the "sqeaky wheel" might be "always getting the grease", but why is it that the other wheels, well working, are those who get lost under way?

I always liked you being around here, and I'd like you to stay around. If you feel that you can't stand it any longer - I can't force you to keep us company, and - that being the case - I wouldn't even try, of course. But, as said before, in another thread, I'd miss your presence on this site.

"Best wishes to those friendly souls and good riddance to the rest" - that may be your wish, but the effect might well be: "good riddance of those friendly souls, and great triumph to the rest"...

Whatever your decision is, after thinking and rethinking, will have to be accepted.

Best wishes to you, who were and are one of the friendly souls, and - hopefully - will reconsider, and stay one of the friendly souls in this neighborhood.

torn between anger and sadness and hope
