I'm not sure about who started the whole enmity that's pouring off of every page of this incredible, inedible thread. And I really don't care. the trouble with fights like that is no one ever starts them, but suddenly they're there, hopping from one thread to the next.

This thread got started with something that is everything but a genuine complaint by someone who's simply whining. (Margaret, you immediately sensed that.) It seems to be a trap laid out. Dunno by whom. Don't even care.

The only thing I'm quite sure about is that there are many more screen names than persons in this thread.

Just as a reminder: When the character posing as 'Heathcliff' first came to these Wuthering Heights - was it in March? - Laurie took exactly the same position towards his posts as this time. And now this thread starts with calling Laurie in?

Well, Tom, it would seem you've done some research. However, as Heathcliff has pointed out, if you don't care, why are you here?

In the beginning I weighed out whether I thought Heathcliffe's issues were real or not. Finally, decided they were, and then entered into [what has now become] the fray. If I made an error in judgement with that assessment ~ I was hurting no one by it, and attacking no one in the process.

When I saw the "where is"'s, I had no idea Heathcliffe was referring to people here, but thought they were previous girlfriends [vs. lovers] of his.

If I were on a hunting expedition, I could and would have cited Linda L's posting. I could have suggested she was being sarcastic, flippant, uncaring, or whatever, but in that I wasn't looking for a fight, I had no reason to. She said what she did, and it was borderline [if at all ~ as it actually sounded more like a typical comment of hers], whether she was trying to be hurtful. Even with Laurie, I said nothing.

You don't seem[?] to get it that I only responded regarding Laurie after Heathcliffe bashed Vince. Fair is fair. The operative words in it were, "If your harsh response to Vince is to stand, then what about Laurie's post to you?" Pretty simple. As soon as he apologized regarding Vince, I dropped it about Laurie. A manhunt does not operate like that.

I also would not suggest that he call her a "bastard" once, much less twice! That's not even the appropriate word ~ and once, of any name-calling word would do, if he were 'evening the score.' My preference ~ pretty obvious to anyone with two eyes open ~ was that he simply take it back regarding Vince, which he did, and I adjusted my track on it, as well.

Others. You have been here feeling sad, crushed, and victimized for yourself, who is not in any sense, a victim. Self. Now, let's re-introduce the word, "Self-flagellation," and who is only happy when it's occurring.

The initial thread, besides its very questionable content was made more questionable by it being an entity that was making their first post AND calling me and others by name. It was a slam dunk that it was a *joke*/ troll.

Heathcliff with and without an e came into being on This thread. A newcomer wouldn't know to name names. Even the 'tragic' name itself was a give away. And I didn't need another hint, but I was even more positive when Heath forgot his (one of many) passwords and had to re-enter with the e.

My personal response was a joke. It would have been rude to do a "call out" of this fool after several others were passing out cyber tissue on his behalf. Your initial posting back in March [at which point some others did take his expressed pain seriously] in NO way corroborates the "bullshit" notion that you think he was on a wind-up ~ then or now. It only serves to elucidate your attitude toward people openly expressing their pain. It is ~ once again ~ abundantly clear that you took him to be a real person then, the same as you did now. It is equally, abundantly clear that you had no time for his expressions, and chose derision as a response. Has it EVER occurred to you that someone age 23 may not have the coping skills for real life that you , twice his age, don't even have for friggin' cyberlife!

In FACT, the vast majority of that thread had ZERO expressions regarding Katrina, but was merely a documentation, for a purpose I declared at the onset.
