And how do they get these seats? And why is this allowed?

If you read the recent book 'Ticket Masters', it tells you [in more detail than you could possibly want to know (!)]
how these 'secondary sales' [formerly known to us as scalpers or touts before they spun the name]
work.

And the sad news is that the promoters venues and artists too, collude in 'secondary sales' to get extra money.

Yep, there was a good documentary about it not so long ago. They're all in it together...

Somebody is making a packet.

I think that's a good way to go for 2013 too ! :)
I couldn't agree more! I am not flying across the Atlantic to go to London. Lots of other places to see in the world....

Absolutely. I deliberately chose side seats for the Quebec City show and we had one of the best experiences ever. It's amazing sitting right at the front, but the overall view you get from the sides is not to be sniffed at. I think we're all getting a bit precious about where we sit ;-)

Thank you for mentioning this, Jarkko! I didn't see it till just now, (about 2:30 pm UTC time), but it's okay, my instincts told me to just wait for further announcements. I know this is pushing it, but does a venue in Manchester look possible, or probable? (it's okay if you don't answer that - I know it is mischievous of me to ask. . .)

Funny old business this pre-sale.

I tried dead on 9am UK time. Then I gave up and went for a few drinks this evening (I'm in the Far East by the way, so it's later here!), came back and tried again at 2.30pm UK time and got Block 112 Row G. I think in the O2 that's just about as good as anywhere else, and arguably better than the floor.

I'm sure there's a moral there somewhere...

That seems an odd request to make from Connecticut Rachel! I'm curious: why Manchester?

Ah, I've got 40-something in A3, so am going to be quite far out. As I feared.
I was sitting down to start an exam at 9.00 a.m so I had to miss out on the pre-sale. Concentration not the best, given the circumstances, I must admit. However, the Tipsy Wife came through and secured us tickets in A3 Block E 40-something also. See you there.

Scott & Helen.

I accepted A3 E 45-6 after having turned down A2 J in a burst of optimism. I'm never lucky in these things.

Look forward to seeing both you and burningviolin again. Hopefully arrange something nearer the time.
