Manchester art gallery has a Valette room and a modern art room with Hockneys, a Bacon etc. Thee are several displays of early stuff that's not my taste but you can easily lose a couple of hours in there. I pop in every time I'm in Manchester. I will be in there today.

Hello everyone.
I believe that a few of us are going to be drinking in The Old Grape which is just around the corner from the Opera House (on the left as you leave the building), if anybody is interested in joining us. We might be moving on after that or staying. Hope you all have a good night this evening.

What a fantastic day!
Art gallery, nice meal, couple of glasses of wine and a concert that flew by even though it was over 3 hours!
Even the £15 to park in Manchester and the rain couldn't spoil it.
I am so glad I am going to Edinburgh too!

Anybody thinking of heading to the Deansgate for a meal before the concert then don't bother.

Despite advertising that meals are served up until 5pm. the chef left around 4 o'clock on both Tuesday and Wednesday.

Chefs eh!!

Too late for tonight, but for anyone there on Friday the food in a bar/restaurant just across the way from the Deansgate at the Knutt was quite good. It is under a railway arch and painted green. The trains rumble along overhead!

Nice to see some postive comments on the art of Bob Dylan on the forum.
Nice people Finns:-)
The taper is indeed the member of the audience who records the show.
If you haven't already a copy of this show and you would like a copy please pm me your postal address (don't post it up here) and I shall send you copy with something very special as a bonus.
