what about Anjani Thomas?
Re: what about Anjani Thomas?
[quote="ladydi" "The Darkness" was pretty obvious from a general consensus in LV and SJ
Are we saying that it is obvious who "The Darkness" is about? I must be pretty ignorant - forigve me for prying, and for my hunger for info about The Man, but can someone please enlighten me?

Hi somewhat_nifty! Well, my signature dates have been very optimistic (with a few rumours to helpsomewhat_nifty wrote:Ladydi, I love your optimistic signature, with empty spaces for 2010 and 11! Do you know something I don't?!

hehe, that's the attitude to have! Hopefully we will not be kept in suspense too much longer...ladydi wrote:Hi somewhat_nifty! Guess we will be enlightened more tomorrow and let's hope that the changes are merely changes in venue...not a cancellation. Until then....my 2010 AND 2011...still stand

Ladydi, thank you for your kind response. I had listened to the words, and you inspired me to listen again (thank you, what a gorgeous song!); although there are a couple of versions, with some different lyrics in each one, I see how the Kelley Lynch connection makes sense. . .ladydi wrote:No problem...Kelley Lynch. I don't know why - but I think smithdwsn has merely repeated what friscogrl posted quite a while ago on page 1 of this thread -

I believe that Anjani accompanied Leonard Cohen when he received the Lifetime Achievement Award at the Grammys?

Re: what about Anjani Thomas?
Anjani and Leonard are very good friends and spend time together. In fact, just a few days ago, they had "glatt kosher hotdogs" together. Some white buns and a sip of root beer were quite over the top for pretty-much vegetarian Anjani.
Anjani has music projects of her own and continues to work on them. She's writing songs and working on an album that will come out at some point in the future. Hopefully sooner than later, for those of us who love her, her voice, and her music so much. She's about to go to India for a Live, music project with a wide variety of first-class, wonderful, world-music musicians, including Ravi Shankar. She's not taking a band with her, so that she can groove with whatever happens with them. Her comment on this excursion was " . . . including A.R.Rahman, Karsh Kale, Sri Ravi Shankar, Agnee, Indian Ocean. i admire their knowledge of Eastern music, and note many of them have received their training in Western Music at East Coast colleges such as Juilliard." Very exciting times for Anjani in her own right.
Who's to really define a relationship with Leonard?
