And this very first recording has been dedicated in memory of our dear friend Artur Jarosinski as the uploader says in the description:Mabeanie1 wrote:A recording of the 4th Ghent show (17 August) is now available on Dime. Sorry Tom, can't agree. The Ghent recordings that have been put up are as good, if not better.tomsakic wrote:Tom Moore did tape Berlin show - it is the far best sounding recording yet.
Not a particularly helpful comment when we are trying to encourage people to put up the recordings they have got. Agreed, a lot of the Tom Moore recordings over the years have been very good, some of them have not been. Ditto banalny. It all depends on the night, the position, and the crowd around. If you say you only want 'hi-q' (or professional) quality, then we will end up with nothing.Tom Moore did tape Berlin show - it is the far best sounding recording yet. Unfortunately he had technical problems and there are no last encores, the show ends at Marianne. With that failed attempt and banalny's death, I don't know when and how will we get the proper hi-q recording... let's hope for somebody new doing some other show, or that TM will do Monchengladbach or something else.
Btw Maarten has sent me his 5 Ghent recordings, and 2 Amsterdam recordings, raw files. I don't know how to edit them for the dime upload, nor does Ken (liverpoolken), and I don't know when can Maarten do that plus he is not dimeadozen member...Goldin wrote: First 2012 Dime uploads:
August 17 - Ghent
August 29 - Halden
September 5 - Berlin (incomplete)
August 15 - Ghent (by raincoat)
UPD: Complete concert - September 5 - Berlin
Tom, I do have a Dime account but like I said (also to some other people through email): I haven't got any time to edit the recordings now... Have to take the train in 20mins to get to Dublin!tomsakic wrote:Btw Maarten has sent me his 5 Ghent recordings, and 2 Amsterdam recordings, raw files. Not many Dublin shows up yet, so I will post this even though it is incomplete.
I had two sets of batteries die on me in the first set, followed by some brain malfunctioning as once I again I manage to screw up another LC recording. Oh well...at least most of the show was saved. I have left the missing track info in the tracklist.

I got lucky, not too many talkers around me...so pretty clean. A few singers near the end, but nothing too distracting. A good atmosphere from where I was sitting.
I was more worried about the wind!
Trying again tonight let's see what mistakes I can make this time
