Regard to the Summer Tour in Europe, we don't know when the next concerts will be confirmed and announced.
AEG and most of the local promoters keep their offices closed until next Monday (Jan 7). Probably things are going to move forward soon after that.

Thank you Piero for the suggestion and walking route. Alas, I think a 3.1 km walk after the concert may be too much for me so I will have to have a serious think before Monday whether I can do this concert.

One word of warning to anyone visiting Rome - it is not possible to hail a taxi in the street. When in Rome last summer, the public transport was on strike and we started walking back to our hotel from the Vatican area thinking that we would get a taxi along the way but ended up walking the whole way. We then found out that taxis have to be booked or from a taxi rank.

Hi all,

Today I got this article below with italian google alert, with the price indication, the best places (poltronissima) = 130 Euro , quite expensive ... and I agree to what Piero and Helen said, do not count to much with infrastructure, public transport etc. in Rome and you cannot stop the Taxi on the Road. You must be quite flexbile and patient in Rome , that happens also in Lucca, but it is smaller...so in case you are near Lucca, you can just walk....

Wendy I would suggest you if you go to Rome , to make sure that you book the taxi to get back before you go to the concert, it might be a sort of impossibile finding one after the concert in a short time and walking around a long way at night, this is not so good......
Rome is beautiful, but an adventure too - Italy is beautiful , but has also many problems ....
I cannot give other hints about Rome as it is a long time I have been there last time, but it is difficult that things have changed in better.....thank you Piero and Helen for the updates and appreciated infos.

Hope to see you at some concert this summer , if you decide to go to beautiful Rome, it is important you know this....for Leonard I know, we do whatever , but just be aware of it

Dopo cinque anni di assenza dai palchi romani, Leonard Cohen il 7 luglio sarà al Centrale Live del Foro Italico.

Leonard Cohen (classe 1934) ha avuto la sua consacrazione internazionale nella seconda metà degli anni sessanta con “Suzanne”, una malinconica canzone che mescola l’amore con la meditazione religiosa, che ne ha decretato il successo universale. Il suo primo album è del 1967, l’ultimo di dicembre 2012. In questi 45 anni ne ha pubblicati oltre trenta, questi tutti considerati dei classici della musica mondiale, influenzando nel tempo numerosi artisti di fama.

Anche Fabrizio De André e Francesco De Gregori l’hanno tradotto e cantato, così come Ornella Vanoni in “La famosa volpe azzurra” (testi di Fabrizio De André e Sergio Bardotti) e Mia Martini in una splendida esecuzione di “Suzanne” (testi di Fabrizio De André).

E sempre in tema di “Suzanne”, l’esibizione di Leonard Cohen al memorabile raduno dell’Isola di Wight del 1970 è rimasta scolpita negli annali della musica folk.

Negli ultimi anni il suo modo di cantare è scivolato verso il recitato, ma la sua voce graffiante suscita sempre la stessa emozione. Come ad esempio nella sua hit più celebre, “Halleluja”, canzone manifesto, una delle ballate più famose al mondo.

Per il concerto romano al Centrale Live del Foro Italico i prezzi dei biglietti sono: 130 euro per parterre poltronissima; 110 per tribuna Gold; 90 per tribuna Tevere e tribuna Monte Mario; 60 per tribuna Internazionale nord 50 per distinti Monte Mario e distinti Tevere.

Ciao a tutti, potreste spiegarmi una cosa?:
il concerto che si terrà a Roma non è previsto allo stadio olimpico (quello per il calcio per intenderci), ma in un luogo più "raccolto" tipo il centrale dove si gioca a tennis ...............vero?

But now it's an adventure, true.

Thank you Jarkko!! Finally I had a good ticket, after 2 or 3 minutes from the opening, but when the first time I wanted to choose a very center second row ticket, there was no possibility, so I had to go on "best seat available".....of course I didn't like that seat, and I tryed to go back on the map....finally I managed to choose 2nd row, 31st seat...it is the first seat of the right block. I could have done better, but it is a very good seat after all!! The only thing: it is expensive......
